I recorded it on sky+ and watched it just now. It did not work, though interestingly when he played the "release" tone at the end my body lightened and tingled so perhaps something happened but not enough to make me get stuck.

Interesting as I have hypnotised myself before so I was half expecting it to work.

I think the method he used was less to do with the video and more to do with the two minutes before the video where he kept repeating instructions on getting heavy and stuck etc. Pretty much what a hypnotist does.

I will watch it again with my wife some time and see what happens.

Felt my body getting really light etc. When the video finished I couldn't lift my right hand more than a couple of inches from my knee and my whole body felt kinda drained. I was sitting up with nothing behind me as well.

Would definitely like to give it another go with proper seats though.

Didn't get stuck. Felt it get a bit heavy and wondered if I decided to believe it would it work.

It worked alot more on me this time, was able to get my bum up of the chair only by pushing with my arms, my legs from my knees down had no real feeling in them......that was flippin great!!!

Ok, next week, I'll look for some volunteers from here, and I'll do a full hypno demo via webcam, of hands sticking, amnesia, hallucinations etc etc.

I'd so be up for that! I'm so skeptical I sort of have myself convinced that I can't be hypnotised, it'd be nice to be proven wrong!

I know how he did it, I could see the man tied to a chair images that were flashed up - they weren't flashed quickly enough to be imperceptible...at least not to me. Presume OFCOM made them make it obvious.

ITT: People disappointed their TV didn't stick them to their couch.

You know what, maybe they did. I think that subliminal images are illegal in the UK.

They're not illegal on TV in the UK but there are guidelines that broadcasters have to follow.

I can't believe that smug tosser actually gets people to believe him. My mam was watching it and when Derren Brown said "This will only work on super intelligent, creative people" or some shyte I couldn't get off my seat... I was laughing too hard

    That guy has some cheek

Noticed one of them alright, very annoyed I didn't get tied to my seat.:D

That may keep you stuck to the seat.

    new theory though..
    Last night, they had 50k people ring in stuck according to Derren. now this is almost definitely exaggerated but;
the last show is a casino heist, and he said some unwitting person at home would become involved. i'm wondering is the whole thing a grooming exercise for this. last night he auditioned the whole country for the most suggestable people he could find. Off air on phone, he can find out if they bought his bull**** statistics explanation last week. the lotto thing is a convincer "you can win with me".
so now he can start narrowing down to a few people who are very subceptable to hypnosis, and are a blind believer in authority figures and fake statistics.

I might be totally wrong, but it seems like it might be going in the direction that "the heist" did, except this time, using the tv to recruit.
