Bolton St may be unavailable this year, there was an awful kick-up about it last year. I'd be very interested in joining this soc, provided it doesn't clash with the karate club. What buses go to Kevin St?

Also would a Saturday morning class be a good idea for people living in Dublin all year round?

Sat morning is a good idea, but me personally i will be heading homw to work at weekends! And from gervis street its like 10-15 mins walk, buses can be a pain!

Id say you wouldn need them straight away if your a beginner?,better of learning as much as you can first,i presume we would train boxing, muai thai, bjj, etc etc!?

I think next week is when all the clubs and societys visit each campus recruiting new members,so if sum1 was willing to set a stand up at that i think you could easily get another 10-15 from the 3major campus's.The college will give us some funds i think too if we need equipment which we will!

Id like to check out a session.

Starting a masters in Bolton street after 4 years there.

More interested in grappling more than striking but ill check it out.

Im slightly concerned its going to be a bunch of amateurs (like myself!) attempting heel hooks on each other.
Is there any proper coaches involved?

I see what you mean about the bunch of amateurs thing, ive picked up a good bit of knowledge and technique over the years in kickboxing, boxing and thai boxing but not sure if im able to teach others...
I haven learned much in bjj, wrestling etc only what i watch online and in live fights.

The clubs and society week is this week 27th-1st oct if were looking to recruit more memebers,as the more you have i think the more money you get from DIT!My campus aungier street is monday? , here is the other dates http://www.dit.ie/news/archivecurrentyear/clubssocsfest/ ... so ??? , is this still going ahead now is the question or have people lost interest ??

No one's lost interest, just DIT being awkward. We need to get all the names of people interested on a list and present it to DITSU. It wont just happen on its own

Went upto Bolton St today and sadly couldnt find a boxing club, asked around and all, and was told it didnt exist anymore then as I turned to to leave the sweat stinkin kip that is Bolton St, I saw "Box.." out of the corner of my eye and there it was out in the lil outdoor place down the very end with no stall! Signed up! The training is Tuesday in Kevin St and Thursday in Larkin College, they said they'll contact us or there will be posters up.

Mr. xxasdasdxx I don't know they never said a time, just that they'll contact everyone and sort it all out within the next few weeks. I doubt it starts this Teusday.
