We should start an "I-spied (spyed? not sure)-you..." thread, just to keep the creepiness going.

I've spied no-one from this board all summer except Kazuma, pathetic really, but let the stalking commence next week :)

Try to spy me. In return, tits.

Saw you in the fees office today, denim, denim, denim guy? I asked if you were in the queue to go up to the desk.

Yes, that is indeed me!!!! I was there just to draw their attention to the fact that an invoice for fees arrived yesterday that were paid ages ago. Not going through that twice....

Why do I know you from before? Were you in Maynooth in May or so? To be honest your accent is pretty recognizable, and awesome if i might say so. What so sort of music you into? Im guessing Nick Cave?

I may have been but I can't quite remember exactly. I've been down a fair few times alright. I was probably getting forms of some sort or something, or looking around campus.
Thanks about my voice, it certainly gets me noticed- whether for good or ill!!! I think some poeple think I'm putting it on actually (no really, it's happened before, to humourous results)!

Yeah, Nick Cave's a big one, but really a whole wide range of stuff, from Van Morrison to death, thrash and a bit of black metal, (metal was really my first musical obsession....from Metallica and the likes up to Morbid Angel, Death, Darkthrone etc etc...) from 70's Australian punk (Saints, Radio Birdman etc....really good stuff), vintage hardcore punk like Bad Brains, Anti-Cimex, Bad Brains, to old blues stuff like Robert Johnson.......yes, so I do have a fairly wide range of preference! But yes, Nick Cave (especially the Birthday Party era stuff) is my current obsession right now in musical terms.
Basically anything raw, gutsy, and genuinely (aka non-whingey) emotional, is right up my alley.
I tend to have a bit of a hankering for terribly soft balladeering as well, which I suppose is fairlyu out of step with what I've listed above. I won't horrify you with any examples though!!

vintage hardcore punk like Bad Brains

    463px-Symbol_thumbs_up.svg.png

One of the best bands in the genre. When I was a little bit younger, there was a time my ears were almost bleeding from unhealthy dousages of the likes of Bad Brains, Minor Threat, Angelic Upstarts, The Business.....

Would make you sick looking at these modern punk bands! American Idiots (see what i did t har?)

Green Day < Bowl of sludge.

    Just my opinion.

I'd definitely be one to agree with that opinion.

One of the worst abominations to disgrace music in recent years (of which there've been far, far too many......and then I go back to blasting the Birthday Party and the world is set right temporarily.....)

    Name: Donal

    Year/Course:2/ History (MH113)

Age: The average age of a soldier in the Vietnam Was was ni-ni-ni-ni-nineteen (classic tune amirite)

Societies/Clubs/interests: I hope in second year they give the Alt Music Soc the boot up the arse it needs, I'll help on that front.

Beyond that I intend to continue to fight the power .

I'd like to see regular indie/electronic nights take place in the SU, and again'll do my bit (I've been dj'ing on local radio for 3 years which means I get loads of free CDs and can operate machinery (*hit buttons*)

Also hoping to play my part in fixing the college paper.

How to notice: An endless collection of Clash/Pogues/Black Flag/Sonic Youth etc. shirts, a harrington jacket with a few Northern Soul/Antifa/Specials pins on it that makes mature students sometimes come up to me and tell me about 'back in the day' (has happened twice).

I'm never without headphones and I always look like I'm a hurry even when I'm not. A cup of coffee/ hot chocolate is normally in my hands, and half the contents on my shirt. Known to go a day or two without shaving if it means I've time for a breakfast role. Guilty of manbag carrying.

You will bump into me, boards.ie Maynoothians seem to do it all the time.

Lives in Palmerstown, studying History & your name is Donal, you didn't happen to go to a Gaelscoil did you?
