Ross Castle Investigation August 29th 2009

Ok a small crew of us are heading down to Ross Castle for an investigation on Saturday 29th of August and have places free. It is said by investigators that it is probably the most active place on the map with alot of experiences in the place. Hence the reason a few of us are in a rush to get back.

Ross Castle Investigation

Location: Ross Castle, Mount Nugent, Co. Cavan.


Time: Arriving 8.00pm on Saturday and starting no later than 8:30pm - leaving by 10am on Sunday - We will be finishing up the Investigation at 2.30 and winding down for the night.

Cost: €50 euro - note that a continental breakfast is included.

Your own transport is a must as the location is impossible to get to without a car, it is quite remote. If anyone dosnt have a car but really wants to go please PM.

Items which people should bring:

- Warm clothes - Please note that items of clothing/footware with reflective stripes etc can affect photographs when a flash is used.
- Snacks/food
- Notebook and pen
- flashlight
- Watch

I would love to come if there is space for me. I had a lot of response to my voice in the top tower room, so would be happy to do a lot of calling out if that helps stir up activity.

Well I have been there a number of times both for paranormal and recreational use. Each time Im there something new happens and sometimes nothing at all. Wont rest until we can explain everything through natural causes. If we cant explain it we go back and try to.

OK well have fun. Make sure you read up on these studies before you head out so as not to fool yourselves... But I'm sure you already have since you guys are the best of the best right?

I would say we are more action less talk.
I wouldnt say Best of the Best but complements are always welcome. Thanks for that .

@ everyone (in answer to overblood). Here is a rough outline for the evening.

Its in Ross Castle which is a very small 16th century tower house with some 1930s extensions in Mount Nugent, Co.Cavan. Its on Saturday 29th and I have organised some top range "mediums" to attend and have my hands on Bumpz' CCTV stuff. Ross Castle can be very active or it can be very quiet but either way it should be a very good night.

I had to book the entire B&B so it works out at 50 euro per person but for this you get a bed (may have to share a room with eachother) and a continental breakfast! (toast and tea :P)

Arriving at around 8pm and starting at 8:30 with a quick history talk about the place then doing 1.5 hours with a 20 minutes break to review the images and subjective experiences then another 1.5 hours of medium work. There will be a more detailed outline of splitting into groups on the night and what are the best parts of the castle to hit. We will be doing some "work" in the sitting room as traditionally it has been ignored.

Lifts are being organised at the moment. Thanks to everybody who is going on this. Ghosts or not this is going to be a good night. I can feel it.

Has anybody made sure that the skeptic infiltration that seemed to be organizing a few weeks ago are not going to be there?

A mate of mine says he is in on it, but he cant go that night, so keep your eyes peeled.

Hi all,

Long time follower of the Paranormal threads but first time poster.

I was keeping an eye out for another paranormal investigation but it looks like i got there too late.Is there any room left for a visitor who isnt opting to stay in the B&B and just heading home at 2.30am when ye finish.

I have some fun tech that Im sure would come in handy

Ross Castle is great craic. Last time I was there the medium saw a vortex in one of the bedrooms apparently!:)
