It'll be a tough ask though. With the amount of unemployed Clare hurlers they can train like professionals.

They have 7 making their championship debut on Monday!
Good aul Waterford will separate the boys from the men, show 'em the difference between underage and senior :P

I know that but you know how it goes. Any chance for a cheap jibe at Clare.

Mayo were shockin... Only two Mayo men turned up to play, Alan Freeman, and the Costelloe lad who was playin for Sligo! Typical Mayo though, they always bottle it when theyre the favourites... :(

Now Im the first person to hate people complaining about the ref, really irks me but now..
When you hear the other team complaining about how unfair the ref was to us ya know things are bad..
    :(

Bring on the real sport amarach.

He was meant to be brutal tbh! Sounded like it on the radio too...
    The umpires weren't brilliant either!

    Oh and C'mon Clare...

Ok, I will man up even though I was watching Armagh / Monaghan. Limerick were the better team and won fair and square.

Deise, you don't really watch that much football, so your knowledge of the rules isn't going to be that great. Just remember that before complaining about the ref.

I was a tad late for the match so ended up listening to some of it on WLRfm. By god, they were so biased :pac:
And deise, the ref made idiotic desicions, not just for ye but also for us. You have to remember that.

And also, the better team on the day won. No doubt.
If you saw it first hand, you'd see that John Galvin and O' Donovan were destroying your midfield.
G'wan Limerick. We'll be munster champions yet!

So, the world cup is coming up. Am I the only one who has absolutely no interest in it? If I'm being honest, I don't even care that Ireland aren't playing...

I can't wait, I love international tournaments. 2/3 matches a day every day for 2 weeks in the group stages

I love watching the David v Goliath matches that pop up in the groups, this time it'll be Brazil v North Korea, Portugal v North Korea, Italy v New Zealand, Spain v Honduras, and probably some more I'm forgetting.

Then you get into the knock-out stages and the big teams start to clash.

Nothing like a good World Cup...:)

This is my team right now, don't think I'll make too many changes to this.

    James

    Vidic
    Pique
    Evra
    --Nani
    Pirlo
    A. Song
    Park--
    Villa----Van Persie----Rooney

    Subs:
    GK: Lloris (France)
    GK: Handanovic (Slovenia)
    DF: Assou Ekotto (Cameroon)
    DF: Cech (Slovakia)
    DF: Mensah (Ghana)
    DF: Figueroa (Honduras)
    MF: Chung-Yong Lee (South Korea)
    MF: Cahill (Australia)
    MF: Honda (Japan)
    MF: Ahn Young-Hak (North Korea)
    FW: Bendtner (Denmark)
    FW: Jovanovic (Serbia)

Well, I was wrong. After a lot of last minute fannying around with my selection, my team now looks like this:

    Julio Cesar

    Vidic
    Lucio
    Pique
    --Park----Van Der Vaart----Gerrard

I've been entertained sufficiently by the second half to forgive the buzzing :)

It'll probably be OK when they're not playing so there won't be too many South Africans at the matches.
They wouldn't want to make it out of the group stages so...:P

There's not many going over so a lot of tickets were sold cheap to locals. Plus I'd guess a lot of tourists will buy them for the atmosphere etc

    I think they're cool. It's something different.

It's their World Cup, they can do whatever the fúck they want as far as I'm concerned.

It's more their responsibility to make sure it's enjoyable. Still, their football team did enough to ensure that. :D
