Pay and shoot for clays and .22lr only. Pistol and centrefire are members only.

You can go with a member and you might be allowed to fire his:confused: but not shoot your own rifle. A member can zero it for you but thats about the extent of it. Could be wrong but i've seen lads been refused permission to shoot their own rifles (centrefire) as they are not members.

Ring J.P. Craven before heading over and he may be able to give you advice or help.

The "guest" can only fire their own licenced .22lr or centrefire firearm (not pistols though I think).

Anyone with a licenced .22lr rifle in their name can shoot their own rifle on payment of a fee even without being a guest.

All this could change with new regulations :(

Might be the best thing just to be sure as this was the situation the last time I asked, two weeks ago ;)

I was over on saturday to zero in a .220 swift for a friend. He brought the rifle and i zeroed it (by firing). Was told he could not fire it himself as he was not a member. JP Craven and other trustess fire/zero rifles on a semi regular basis to assist novice or one time only shooters looking to have their rifles zeroed. Pistol range is strictly for MEMBERS ONLY.

+1. Anyone with a licenced .22lr can pay range fees and shoot away. Same with clays. Pay and shoot. Membership not a requirement.

Not going to get into an arguement, or a p***ing match with you as to who is correct. I have on occassions had a guest fire one of my centrefires with permission/supervision from a range officer and a guarantee that the guest has experience with high calibre rifles. One shot only.

By the way in case you missed it I edited my post to remove what you obviously took as me attempting to start an argument ............................... "You're totally wrong."

Seems we have seen, done and been told different things ;)

    That's life :)

Like ya say no need for us to fall out over it
