Which 3 series?

I'm looking to get a 3 series over the next few weeks and just wondering what are people thoughts on the different models. I've about 13k to spend so was thinking of either a 318,320, 320d or 325, coupe or saloon doesn't really bother me. I think i'll definitely try get a m-sport model as i like the look of the sports…

six months ago i had an engine transplant because of a swirl flap breaking and going into the engine. i am now having trouble with new engine, air flow needs replacing and turbo needs looking at. the new engine was out of a standard 2 litre d car instead of the sport model. it is completely different to the one that was in so when i give my registation number in it comes up with the part numbers for old engine.
have had a good look but cannot find the engine number anywhere on new engine, does anyone know where it is located?
