Just a little poll. So many girls I know have their hair since they've been young teenagers, I can't even remember what their natural colours are! So what is yers? Do you/have you been dying your hair for long? And all that..

If your hair is now all grey just choose what it was before that. And if I don't have your colour up, choose the colour closest to yours!

Didn't know where to put this. But more girls tend to dye there hair, so, you know. This has probably been done before, sorry!

Mine is a light warm brown.

I thought it was dark blonde (usually lighten my hair) until I dyed it brown and waited for roots... and waited... and waited...

Mine is a pretty light blonde in the summer (when the sun gets to it) and then a darker blonde in the winter. I get it highlighted now about 3 times a year so it's always light blonde.

I don't know where the blonde came from, both my parents have naturally black hair and tanned skin, but my brother and I have light skin and light hair, tis mad!

i still have my natural colour, i was a very bright blonde child and even in my teens. no hairdresser would ever let me touch it with a dye. now im in my early twenties its turned a darker shade of blonde but im determined to hold out til it turns dark before putting a dye near it :D

Mine was light blonde, then gradually faded to medium dirty blonde, however I found this year it went a horrible yellow in the sun :( yuk, so I dyed it for the first time and I am now a brunette, probably not the best look as I'm exceptoinally pale. Oh well I needed a change!

Mine is a very dark brown. In fact, most people would call it black, so that's what I went with because no matter how much I try and convince them that's really just a very dark brown, they insist that it's black. So black it is!

    Really?
One of my friends bleached her hair, and the colour underneath was darker, and her natural colour never came back. :(
And I have the fear to dye because of this.

My hair was medium to light blonde before I lost it and it grew back dark blonde - gave into temptation and have highlights (no bleech though) though I can get away with them twice or three times a year...still no grey hairs yet thankfully :) I think that the environment has a lot to do with it - was very blonde as a child though (almost white).

I'm naturally light brown, sorta blonde. Have been dying my hair since I was fourteen though and it has been EVERY colour under the sun, from black to blonde to green! Really regret dying it now though!

A very light brown, apparently. At least, that's what hairdressers tell me when they don't think I should have a full head of highlights done. Haven't seen that colour in about 10 years though.

Bleaching your hair only changes the colour of the hair that you bleached. It doesn't affect the colour of any new hair that grows after that. Your natural hair colour is determined by your genes and age.

Red hair but got blonde highlights last year. Then got more highlights which were too much so I've dyed it red again. Slowly but surely growing back.

My natural colour is very dark brown (almost black). I always hated it, and started dyeing it red when I was 14. Of course I was skint so I bought the home dyes and subsuquently destroyed my hair. Red fades fast so I was dyeing it every few weeks. Then I decided to dye it dark brown again to give it a break. It was so porous from being over-dyed that it soaked in every drop of the dye and turned jet black. I hated it so I got it lightened, but when the roots started coming through I did it blue-black.

After 3 years of constant home dyeing my haur was well and truly destroyed so I grew it all out. Then at 19 I started getting blonde highlights and I got blonder and blonder. I always got it done professionally until I started travelling a few months back and started bleaching it myself. Of course it was a recipe for disaster and I dyed and bleached it countless times to get it back to a nice natural blonde- no joy. So yesterday I just decided to leave it alone for a while and I dyed it my natural colour again. I was sure I'd hate it, but I love it! I have got so many compliments, even from work colleagues I barely ever speak to, and I am relieved that I won't have to worry about roots anymore. Blonde is so freakin expensive. It's 150 for highlights, you have to get good (read: more expensive shampoos and conditioners to help your poor damaged hair and stop it going brassy, and you have to get it cut more often to get rid of the inevitable split ends- more money!

My natural hair colour is "brownie-reddie-blonde" as described by my hairdresser.

It's a mixture of all three colours, I have loads of natural highlights in my hair so it's impossible to say which one colour it is.

My hair's blonde at the moment, been that way for well over a year.

Before that, it was purple. It was black. It was white blonde with pink and green streaks. It was anything but normal!

Now, I'm going for a reinvention this Saturday so I shall shock you all in the know your loungers thread sometime soon :D

Very dark brown, with what used to be red highlights, but the red lads went grey for the most part. Starting in my early 20's. I blame the wimmin! :D Same with the beard too. The red fellas went grey, the black fellas stayed the same. Though recently some of the grey are going black. Very weird to see a hair that's grey at the tip, but towards the root is black.

My hair was blonde until I was about 15, and then it turned into that horrible dark dirty blonde. Had highlights in it for years but I got sick of them, and since last year my hair has been dyed a very dark brown. I love being a brunette.

I'm a natural ginger. My hair colour is that real Irish Celtic/Viking red, like very vibrant. I used to hate when I was a teenager because I used to get bullied for it! So I dyed it dark for years but it's all natural again and I appreciate it. Get so many more compliments now! Especially whilst abroad. :P

Mine's a dark brown but I have it dyed black, dying to go back to my natural colour but anytime the black starts to wear of it leaves my hair a horrible colour looks like i have bald patches LOL so I have to go back to black!!

Same here. It's very very very dark brown but everyone calls it black. Have never died my hair (although people always presume I do because I have blue eyes) and every time I hear how much my friend's highlights cost I'm glad it's too dark to dye!

I think mines a light to dark brown. If ya get me.

I've been dying it since I was around 16 as the grey hairs started to appear then. Curse my genes! The greys have been growing (terrible pun there) in numbers over the years and some are getting very cheeky and growing close to my forehead which means I'll get less time out of each colour. Booooo to that.

Mine's a sort of reddish-brown. The red only comes out in the sunshine though! I started having highlights in mine at age 12 (my gran's a hairdresser!) but when I got to college, I was almost totally blonde! Decided to grow it out and go back to my natural colour, and it took so long that I'm never, every dying it again. I like the colour it is now!

I'm dark blonde and presently I have blonder highlights. Sometimes I go darker.

The first time I dyed it as a teenager I used a home bleach kit and my friend went a bit crazy with it :D LOTS of tutting from the hairdresser when I went to get the roots done. OOPS.

I've been quite dark too, but my mom drew the line at dying it black..."look at the colour of your eyebrows, love". So wise.

I consider myself happy with my hair considering my sister and mom have ginger strawberry blonde hair. And my father and brother have less hair every day :pac:

Why is this so common? My boyfriend has very dark brown hair that looks almost black in the winter, but his beard is at least 50% ginger! I have another friend who's the exact same as that too. It's bizarre.

I was light Blonde until I was about 12 then it got darker gradually to Light Brown. My Mum is hairdresser she starting putting highlights in my hair when I was 14, gradually getting lighter until I was almost white  so I dyed my hair back to light brown and then Mahogony/Auburn ever since. I love having Red Hair.

Too expensive to get it done professionally IMO especially when my best mate will do it for me for free and the dye only costs a tenner! Happy days.
