I know this is going to stretch us financially but hope it will be worth it in the long run!
My dream is to work in the middle east for a year:cool:.

Using my many abilities, using my brain, interacting with other people(ha), meeting new people, and the general college experience!!

The main reason I chose to go to college was mainly due to working full time in a terrible full time job that was just like walking in a prison yard! Had enough of the dead ends and decided that the only way forward was college, especially at these harsh financial times ha ha! Done a one year FETAC course in Dundrum to get back in the swing of college things and getting use to the assignments/deadlines!:cool:

Being referred to as 'mature' is quite a kicker.
There's an awful lot of badness in terms of websites, programming, news producers - maybe the class of 09 can make some improvements?

Honestly, I'm very excited that I won't be working in an office for a middle manager for the forseeable future. That is some soul-sucking s#!$ and I will remember that every time I ponder my new bank balance...

What you're most looking forward to in College: Finally studying something I think I will enjoy, have worked jobs I have hated for years, did photography in D.L.I.A.D.T first time around, but didnt do the degree, so have wanted to get one, and have a real interest in media, and TV/Radio, so heres hoping it will work out!! Budgeting will be tough!!

recently got myself a U Cert in ASD from University of Birmingham and a Cert in Disability Studies from UCC.

the biggest challenge for me will be coping with a kind of Babylon.

People say that years spent in college are the best of your life and I agree. It'll be fun to feel that joy again.

I am so excited and so nervous all at once!
I have been out of school since '96 - so I am quite concerned about how I will cope academically - but really looking forward to the challenge, this is something I have wanted for as long as I can remember - and I really hope I can give it 100% and look back in 4 years time and say "I DID IT"

Most concerned about: not seeing my children as much; Finances; the commute each day!

But overall, cannot wait

WHAT YOU ARE MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO IN COLLEGE: Finally making it back to college! I attempted twice already on different courses that I really hated. I love history and english, so I figured it would be a no brainer to choose these two! Im heading back as a mature, doing it through distance learning, which means im still able to work. My plan is to hopefully get into secondary teaching when im all done and dusted.

If anybody else is doing this degree, give me a shout!

I'm also worried that working full-time and studying in the evenings is going to kill me, and I haven't even started planning my own family (before I wouldn't even think of it but finding the right man changed everything).
