    - North Korea's continued unsettlement will defo not remember
    - Ireland see's relative peace in the North for me this just seems like a convergance of 90s & 00s
    - Ireland and the Nice Treaty, Lisbon Treaty will defo not remember
    - The Tsunami in Sri Lanka and surrounding areas will defo not remember
    - Ireland winning Grand Slam and Triple Crown in rugby will just watch the DVD/Blu ray or whatever format is hip in the future
    - The late 2000's recession will wait and see how bad things get in the future, this might be overcast but worse economic times to come
    - Inauguration of first black US president will remember I suppose, but probably won't care all that much
    - H1N1 swine flu scare (first pandemic in 50 years) will defo not remember

On a personal level, it will be the decade I grew to adulthood in.

In history, it will be the decade where the west started a long and terminal decline in power after over 200 years on top.

Are the two connected in some way?

I would have thought the Celtic Tiger more associated with the 90s?
