If you rate ick factors highly eggs are not for you, 0% ick comes into it for me. :-p
I would have problems with the way a lot of chickens are treated all right, at least some of it is becoming illegal soon in the EU. Would never mind eating my friends chickens eggs, they would just be left on the ground randomly if he didn't eat them! The chickens lay eggs in his neigbours garden only and leave em alone then.
As for health, I believe for many years people feared eggs due to cholesterol concerns. Then it was found that the cholesterol in eggs lowers the bad type of cholesterol. I think that is what is believed now! Yolks can be fattening though, I suppose. But not to be worried about unless one is quite overweight!


I read of a guy that eats 18 a day! jjjjeeez, couldn't manage that or could...

Some people that eat **** loads of eggs, like me and that 18 a day dude have low cholesterol. Mine is realllly low, not even near medium. So I won't worry yet. /smokes egg

The blood smear issue is quite off putting though. What's more, I'm sure someone linked me here to some site which showed all the cow pus in cow milk. I haven't been able to drink my cereal bowl milk since that happened . Neither have everyone who I lived with and immediately told .

It's odd that I would not be bothered by blood, pus, whatever, I'd eat it, and I'd still be like ewwwww vegetables.

Um this sunday 2pm onwards there is a drink in the porterhouse temple bar dublin.

As for picnic, wouldn't mind there being another as I wasn't up to the last one.
Dates are hard to choose!

aah, this sunday.. yes indeed. Guess I'll need some more time to gather my energies.

But I'm sure there will be others, the pick up on this forum, as has been pointed out has been pretty massive. Some of the other mods could follow suit, the literature forum, for example is completely dead. The mods don't seem to have much interest in it either.

When I was a child I loved boiled eggs but whenever I found a bit of blood inside an egg or a slimey bit that just didn't cook properly I would feel ill and wouldn't eat them again until my little child brain forgot about it. Sometimes I miss them, especially things like scrambled egg but I'll live...I hope!!

There was vegan scrambled egg at my camping trip at the weekend, looked good. Maybe there is hope to find some! I imagine a lot of alternatives for it would not be good, kinda sloppy, dunno.

Cool! Where was it? was it scrambled tofu? I had one before and it was nice but when I tried to make it myself it was a bit...odd shall we say. I think I used the wrong kind of tofu.
