Coin dreams? More like nightmares! You need sleep! :p

It is in Sligo, lovely place, lets go! I love walking in woods, especially with Doggies and Raah!.

I will arise and go now, and go to Innisfree,
    And a small cabin build there, of clay and wattles made;
Nine bean rows will I have there, a hive for the honeybee,
And live alone in the bee-loud glade.
And I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow,
    Dropping from the veils of the morning to where the cricket sings;
There midnight's all a-glimmer, and noon a purple glow,
And evening full of the linnet's wings.

I will arise and go now, for always night and day
    I hear lake water lapping with low sounds by the shore;
While I stand on the roadway, or on the pavements gray,
I hear it in the deep heart's core.

I spent many a summer in that neck of the woods as a child, probably my favourite place in the country :)

ah they are, James' voice is still fairly good and I love their newest album, take a seat old man.

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 60,119 Mod ✭✭✭✭Tar.Aldarion

His voice is not still good -_-
I suppose it's ok, but it was so much better.

Haven't heard that, I died a little due to the one before, apart from the lols!

    I mean, come on, lol!

I actually like this one :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,028 ✭✭✭✭--LOS--

nah I think his voice improved over the years when he started doing voice coaching, wouldn't say it's at its best now or anything and now I regret that last vid I posted coz he does wome weird strain thing towards the end, and he looks to be concentrating very hard sometimes, bless.

ah gotta still love them live, the production on some of the old albums is bollix but sounds way better live.

The unnameable album is obviously bollix, no I don't even like that song you posted, wish they'd admit that themselves but nothing can tint how much I love them.

Listen to the new album, it's way better.

By the time they got to Ireland I thought his voice had lost it, I think he got better at singing and his voice got worse if you know what I mean. anywaaay, thanks for reminding me of how much a fanboy I was all the tshirts and posters, they were the reason I got a guitar and went straight for a Metallica tab book to learn master of puppets or even such lol fun to play songs as

Ah great memories of one, unforgiven, nothing else matters, harvester of sorrow etc, mmm! Nothing as fun as playing a song you love with your friends really loud on your guitars and drums. :D Like
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OzMJhOwBLqw&feature=related

    mmmmmmmmm

Go to them teh few years ina row they came with linkin park, slipknot etc? Fantastic gigs, especially after loving them for so many years and finally getting to crowdsurf and shouting 'die! die! die!' for creeping. Guess I know what I'm at on youtube today!

St. Anger is only good for being funnily bad, nothing compares to those first four pour moi

for you or anybody else, sure all that stuff is practically most of what they play, how could ye get sick of that. Fave album probably justice but hard to choose between that and puppets. Orion is one of my favourite things by them, best instrumental definitely.

Saw them 04, 06, 08 (at a festival), now '10, hopefully '12 or that's gona mess up my system. I love them and metallica loves me, they tell me so :pac:

    that's a new article

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 60,119 Mod ✭✭✭✭Tar.Aldarion

Ah yeah but I haven't listened to them in a few years, passion rekindled!

    :D

I have often looked at the track listing for justice and puppets and I still can't choose between them for long. I always go, ioh this ahs this song and it's amazing but this one hass... You can't make meeeeeeeeeeee choooose.

Seeing them and then going to slane right after to see chili peppers was such a good few days. You get visions do you? What does James say? That Lars is annoying?

I've only seen em twice grr. Both years I mentioned...er lost prophets whyyy.

I dunno, is it, I just read it, seems odd

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,028 ✭✭✭✭--LOS--

He says ' Metallica loves you', it's obviously me he's on about. Speaking of visions, today the screen was quivering on my laptop :/ least I think it was the screen and not my eyes.

I've never really enjoyed the support for them but high on fire and volbeat sounds good for this year.

It's just that I remember working on a paper at least a year ago and that whole 2020 mega mission thing was on it. Can't remember what it was now.

nevermind was thinking of something else

    /gets handbag

    we'll see about that! /swing

I rmemeber he had a drink and gave it to the crowd and my friend got it, lucky bitch.:pac:

I did enjoy linkin park, poor lad had his birthday and people were throwing stuff at him. Slipknot I adore so they were good too but not a 100th as good of them when they headline. What were that leotard cheesy band that rip off ac/dc etc? I don't like them. Haven't heard of the support bands you said.

Oh well yeah I imagine there are research papers on things before articles, getting all the good goss in physics papers eh :p

Oh I like slipknot, never seen them headline though. That leotard band...you're not talking about avenged sevenfold? they're nothing like acdc so probably not.

oh don't mind me, I relate one mission to all the rest, nothing to be seen here.

I don't know high on fire but they sound good and I like Volbeat, yer man has a really nice voice.

Oh that is some mad theory, I knew it, the gheys make rainbows.
Still though the rainbow in the sprinkler is pretty cool, I mean what else could it be.

they don't always sound so sad either. They're Danish and sing partly in english, partly in dutch.

Seriously, one of the best eats I've had in Dublin. I should put it in that restaurants thread but I'm not sure if I should because it's not vegetarian - despite having a vegetarian owner and a vegetarian version of most main courses.

    Happy happy

    Hello everyone ^^

Think I saw Slipknot in June 05, best concert I've ever been too, then maybe Tool. They work the crowd fantastically, come down into them etc to mosh etc. i love when they make everybody get on their hunkers and jump together, mmm :D Also love their other band Stone Sour, I love his voice.
We had a conversation about how it would be 'cool' to have the 666 ticket for the gig when we were in the queue and we checked and I actually had it, people wanted to take pictures of them, me and the ticket, found it quite funny.

Dunno why your vid reminded me of

Probably just that it has a girl walking around heh.

The band I was talking about was hmm, The Darkness. i had never heard of them, saw them on mtv before the gig(they played music back then) and hated them...then I turn up to metallica and get the flyer saying they were playing hah! Ah sure I know how you go on, why mind that :pac:
I like that vid, shall listen more, like things in other languages or a mix. The rainbows didn't happen 20 years ago...it must be the gheys!

    Hello everyone ^^

Hey dudette, When was your birthday again? Uh happy birthday!
As LOS said, please explain teh dishes, I want to try it but am much afeard

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,541 ✭✭✭anothernight

Yeah my bday was on the 6th, that's why I said that >_<

Well the Brazilian staple would be the feijoada, which is basically a black bean stew with rice. Brazilians really do love their beef though, like barbecues never have burgers, only straight up beef =/
Then there's a lot of other stuff, like Pasteis, Coxinas, Acarajé, etc. On the sweet front, there's a lot of stuff made with condensed milk, such as brigadeiros (I love these!!! So easy to make too), bejinhos (same as the last one but instead of cocoa you add coconut), quindim, etc.
    Now I'm hungry!

The boyfriend loved the feijoada. So picky eaters can actually like it =]

    Sorry, belated happy birthday :p

That's a lot of weird words right there. I love how teh first link I try says... 'Pastel may refer to several dishes' they just don't want to make this easy on me! :p
We should have a veggie meet where you just tell us when we are there what things are.
Bean stew sounds nice nom nom. Well beef is much nicer than burgers...lets not go down that road :pac:

I don't knwo any picky eaters *whistle*

damn been watching this stargate episode for like 4 hours now /clicks play again

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,541 ✭✭✭anothernight

Oh I'd be up for that. I always have something else to do every time there's a veggie meet up though. I think yous all do it on purpose!

Then you pick a day heh, it's not like we are particularly rigid about these things. i meet the veggies a lot for delicious veggie foodz nomnom, govindas! It's much easier to make the small 'just text people on the day' ones. I want to try brazilian, lebanese and whatever greek people eat next! I have no idea :S
