Jim Morrison died and the The Specials were at number one with Ghost Town

Was there not about 10 years between these two events? You are talking about Jim Morrison of The Doors and not some old geezer that lived down the road?

    July 4th:

    obviously America gained Independence.

...but on the exact same day and year, nothing apparently! Well I did keep the family tradition alive...my aunt and great aunt are both born on the 4th of July too!

Malia Obama was born on the 4th of July 1998. Imagine having your birthday in the White House on Independence Day?! Almost as if she was meant to be there!

Edit: Oh wait, I did find a few things!

    What does "booring" mean?

I found the lifting of the ban quite interesting. It also lead to the end of ridiculous voice-overs. Well, apart from Radion ads.

My birthday is actually now! I think the most significant events of the day was that Karate Kid Part III was released in the cinema and Charlie Haughey announced he was resigning from the office of the Taoiseach.
