with adventure (Indiana Jones), romance (Blue Ranger and Pink Ranger), intrigue (Mr Potato Head, international master of disguise) and deception (Thomas the Tank, he's a tricky one). It'll be a blockbusterbiggrin.gif
...with my 4 year old its the opposite: .....with adventure (Dora The Explorer), romance (Cinderella), intrigue (StrawberryShortcake!) and humour (PeppaPig). It'll be a bitchbusterbiggrin.gif

    This little guy arrived today.

Which was weird because I didn't even know he was on his way.

He seems confused about where he is :/

Very cute. The exposure jumps a bit between frames. Was that intentional?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,220 ✭✭✭Slidinginfinity

    Excellent :D

No.3 looks a bit overexposed though or the lighting/flash is a bit too strong and it isolates it from the rest of the set. The rest are great though!

What the hell is going on in the last one?

Nice shots BH but I don't buy your captions. Looks more like the 2 lads were off to mardi gras ;)

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,185 ✭✭✭PaulieC

boring at this stage to be honest...everything just looks like a copy of Longshanks original post with Danbo. From the looks of it we're not done with the Danbo pics either, with the amount of people who have ordered them

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,657 ✭✭✭trishw78

just a thought do we need the story line to be added. Could we not use our imaginations, or maybe make it more comic book like add little captions like pow, kaa-zam etc.

ah perhaps, but isn't imitation a great form of flattery

( or did i just read that on quotes of the day  )

    :D

perhaps it is, but unlike a photo of a sunset or something, an imitation isn't quite so obvious. I think the Longshanks posted the original Danbo series, I think everyone liked it and it was pretty fresh and original and maybe even cutting edge. The thing about imitating something like that is that unless you get it very, very right, it just looks like an imitation and usually not a good one...

    ??!?

I think that can be disabused by a quick flickr tag search for 'danbo' ...

It's not really an original idea. There are flickr groups dedicated to it. But longshanks stuff was really well done.

It's just a bit of fun anyways.
