10 things I love about me

With the "body image" thread in mind, I decided to start a thread where anyone can make a list of ten things they like about themselves, be it their appearance or personality.

Seemingly, too many people on tLL have negative feelings towards themselves and their bodies, so this is a little pick me up.

If you can't think of ten things, post anyway! - We'll come up with more ideas on why you're great!

An idea might be to post your favourite photograph of yourself, one that gives you confidence! It'll help us to shower you with compliments further!
Although, if you don't want to post a photograph, that's fine as well!

So, basically - tell us what you like about you and start telling other people what's great about them too! It's time to start sharing the love, ladies (and lurking gentlemen!)!

This is me. I took this a few weeks ago, after I got my hair done! It gives me confidence because I'm smiling-ish, which I never normally did in photographs, because I used to be insecure about my braces. Just reminds me of how I'm growing up and becoming happier with who I am.


1. I like my legs - they're toned and slim (I highly recommend yoga and trampolines!)

2. I like my eyelashes - they're really long!

3. I like my rosy cheeks.

4. I like my hair - it's thick and quite glossy.

5. I like my lips (and my poser pout...!)

6. I like my narrow hips.

7. I like my soft skin.

8. I like the way I dress.

9. I like my make-up skillz.

10. I like my small hobbit-like ears! :pac:

5 physical things and 5 personality things, so:

1. calves - they're strong and muscular, defined.
2. hands and fingernails - they're nicely shaped, but also big and capable. When I played piano their length came in super handy.
3. eyebrows have a high natural arch so they don't take much work
4. height - I love being tall
5. glasses

6. intelligence
7. dry sense of humour/wit/cynicism
8. creativity
9. compassion/empathy
10. strength

Well I'm not madly unattractive or anything, I just don't love anything about myself, you know? There's nothing particularly special about which is cool with me! This sounds like I'm fishing for compliments, swear I'm not, just being honest.

1. I like my boobs. They're a nice size and shape.
2. I have a nice defined waist (even if it is only because of the layer of fat around my hips!)
3. I have very low maintenance eyebrows that only require an odd hair to be plucked now and then
4. I'm very intelligent, if I do say so myself.
5. I have a nice laugh
6. My boyfriend tells me I have gorgeous eyes
7. I think I have a great sense of humour. I can make people laugh fairly easily.
8. I'm a really friendly person
9. I have lovely long blonde straight hair that generally behaves itself, even with no effort.
10. My body hair is very fine and blonde, so doesn't require too much effort to keep it in check.

Ten things I love about me? Hmm.

1)I've been told I have a great smile. I have many dimples.
2)I'm tall - not fantastically so, but taller than average.
3)I can run.
4)I have a small waist.
5)I like my small-framedness. It means I'm boyish shaped, rather than curvy, but it's me and the way I am and I like it.
6)I'm very polite. Everyone says so. Colleagues get shocked when I say fuck.
7)I'm strong - not physically, but mentally and emotionally. I can depend on myself.
8)I'm intelligent, even if I do say it myself, I know it's so.
9)I'm friendly. I like meeting people and I like making people laugh.
10)I'm passionate about what I like - people, food, rugby, books, yoga, history, music, drinking - I get very excited about the things I like.
11)There's no-one like me and I don't want to be like anyone but me.

This is a nice thread!

When I was younger, I was always really paranoid about my eyebrows - I hated them and thought they were crooked and too big.

Fast forward a couple of years, and I'm so proud of them - people tell me they are beautiful. People even ask if I draw them on. I'm quite fond of them now! And the best thing is they require almost zero-maintenance!

And I like that I can speak Irish fluently too!
