Is inch piping fast enough flow rate cause when the level drops in the tank ,wont the flow rate get slower and when it goes below 1/3 full might barely trickle out just thinking out loud .

What speed had you to go when dribbling along sward ,with them 30 foot rakes ,there would not be a whole pile of travelling at all to be done so you need a good flow then .

This is like going back in time ,have seen no one put molasses on silage swards with years and can not figure why cause Imo it is a great idea

I think 1 inch should be able to do it. Obviously the bigger the better. The ibc outlet is 2 inch.

I was doing 12km at the start with a small slit. Then made them bigger, half the size of my small finger and travelled at 9km. And I ended up at 30 litres per acre overall. I was aiming for 100. I think the inch can still do it with raked swarths.

The ibcs are never fully full and I topped up the top with water as well. And you have to open the lid a bit to let air in to let the molasses out.

Why no one doing now? Better silage made now. More cuts. Less bulk. People probably got fed up with the fiddly container that was used for molasses on swards. Molasses everywhere and no pallet forks or tractor able to work it.

I was using pallet forks with a euro hitch and 3 point linkage attachment for the euro hitch pallet forks on the back of the tractor. Then the ibc ratchet strapped to the forks just to be sure.

I was clearing out a dead neighbour’s shed and came across 17 bullrings hanging on a rope. At least they are good electrical conductors. I thought they were curtain rings when I saw them first, then I picked them up!

Years ago I asked a fella for a bull ring from the factory for a weanling bull I bought. I put it on him and got a screw from a three pin plug to secure it. Worked the finest.

If you were to reduce the 1100mm to 900mm you would have a right angle and two 45 deg angles, would be much easier

I used Sketchup for the first time last week and it is amazing how easy it is to use, even for producing 3d models.

In a few minutes I was able to produce a simple model for 3d printing, I'd recommend it for anyone wanting to mock up any projects.

Hi all. I have motor neurone disease and am slowly losing the use of my arms. I enjoy a pint at home and I can drink 99% of things with a straw.

The issue is when I'm having a Guinness. I can't lift it with my arms anymore and because you drink through the head it's not possible with a straw.

I was wondering if one of you guys had any ideas on something to lift a glass and tilt it? Look, I'm not looking for a terminators robot arm and probably won't live long enough to invest substantial funds into it but I just want to enjoy a pint.
