I see the neighbours at it during pit silage, similar set up in stainless on a old milk tank trailer
"Rooting" in the shed as that's about all ya can do in this weather. 😐️
Anybody have a source of good solar panels .I need 1kw at 48 volts
I bought a leather work belt the other day for OH as his old one was worn out. I couldn't find my leather punch so improvised with a bit in the battery drill.
5 points for the winning answer
The leg of a Wellington boot cut off with holes cut in the top and a string threaded and tied through.
5 points for me..😀
To stop a scouring foal from sucking it's dam.
Bingo! But for a calf rather than a foal here. Was clearing a corner in an old shed (not been cleared in a while….) and found it.
Looks a long gubbon for a calf in that pic
I've only ever seen a goban used on a foal.
Anybody remember a''pug''. Something similar to a goban. It was the toe area if a sock line the goban to stop a calf licking dirt and dust off stone walls when they were very young and being bucket fed
I was clearing out a dead neighbour’s shed and came across 17 bullrings hanging on a rope. At least they are good electrical conductors. I thought they were curtain rings when I saw them first, then I picked them up!
Any idea where they came from? Someone working a meat factory?
Yes that’s what I’m thinking, this lad never had a bull.
Years ago I asked a fella for a bull ring from the factory for a weanling bull I bought. I put it on him and got a screw from a three pin plug to secure it. Worked the finest.
guntering of the year right there 😂
Lads is there any app or website that I can find out angles if I input the lengths? I have 1800 side of the triangle below and want to weld on the other 2 sides (without using bolts etc to fill in gaps!), ta
I used Google Sketchup;
If you were to reduce the 1100mm to 900mm you would have a right angle and two 45 deg angles, would be much easier
Try this https://www.mycarpentry.com/roof-pitch-calculator.html
Fair play, should take out the guntering! I've a bandsaw that I can put the angle on no bother, ta
1421 is the answer I think
It's Pythagoras theorm. The square of the hypothalamus is equal to the square of the other two sides
900 and 1100 squared. ( make it easy and use 9&11. 81+121=202 approx 14.21squared
1421.27 actually.
.27 mm is important if it's missing from the tip of your cokc.
I used Sketchup for the first time last week and it is amazing how easy it is to use, even for producing 3d models.
In a few minutes I was able to produce a simple model for 3d printing, I'd recommend it for anyone wanting to mock up any projects.

You can literally just pull 2D images into 3D shapes!
Folks, I am posting this at the request of @Ginger83 .
Please give any help you can.
Not an answer to question but thinking of you ginger, and sending you all the luck we can from boards, also sending it for your Guinness question. 👍🏽👍🏽
Emaherx is the man for this one
@Ginger83 - did Guinness not get back to you? No luck with the Technology forum thread?
Hi I had asked a Mod a few days ago if they would mind asking as farmers use a lot of machinery even though it's off topic.
I emailed Guinness and Diageo. Diageo replied to say that they were going to explore it.
I also found out a school I know has a 3D printer which I could ask to use when deciding on a design.
