I thought it was easier than paper 1 if that's possible! Thought the unseen poetry was challenging but nothing that caused problems

    It went great for me!
I was so happy wiht the themes that came up for both prose and poetry. I chose "grá" for my prose and I wrote about "Dunmharú ar an Dart" and I chose "brón" for the poetry section and wrote about "Mac Eile ag Imeacht".
Unseen prose was great, but the unseen poetry was pretty difficult
The letter was ridiculously easy! Wrote two pages about being at the gaeltacht last year (literally wrote everything i did when I actually went there last summer!)
I'm so happy with both papers, we're lucky we got off easy this year! xD

Naturally, we get the easiest paper ever and I completely mess the letter up. Great stuff.

Well, thats a relief. Soo delighted with that, poems and stories grand, letter simple and the comprehensions mildly challenging but ok overall!

I thought it was hard enough, I liked paper one, but paper two seemed really hard. Everyone in my year thought that though, even the guy with the fainne.

    fainne?

I second that?? Whats this about a fainne?

And think the Oisin one pretty much told the story of the poem, my rough translation:

The man that left the Fianna came on a white horse from tir na nog.
300 years he spent there and still was young But the fianna had been sleeping in the grave for many years.
Dont get off the horse, or youll be old my love, long years are spent since Fionn heard your voice.
The advice oof niamh he didnt listen to, the man on the white horse. He who was young and strong, as he was when he said goodbye.
But oisin fell from the white horse and changed into an old weak man, after years of waiting.

Rough and bits missing but thats about it I think.

I might have spelt it wrong. He's fluent in Irish, and took a test to get a badge, called a fainne. That's how it's pronounced, anyways.

Me and some of me friends showed our teacher the paper afterwards cos we had no idea :p It's about this guy who's comparing a storm to a giant or something.

The paper all in all was pretty good. I'm thinking I'll scrape a B in irish hopefully :D

But the unseen prós and poetry were pretty bad...As always. No suprise there :P

the poet was describing this *man* ie storm outside that ripped the trees from their roots, yelled down the chimney and other stuff. and at the end he was like 'but i didnt mind because i was cuddled up in bed..."
i did two differences between them ..talked about the obvious diff. in themes and then i said the ending of the first one was funny but the ending of the second was sad because oisin like...wasnt young anymore
i was so happy i could understand them because usually i havent a clue what their on about..:D
