That's insane, never seen a player come even close to that weight, there I was thinking my tight-head was a monster at 127KG!!

What's a good pack weight to have? Is it possible to get packs up to / over 950KG? Is that pretty standard the higher up the leagues you go, or is over 900KG good?

over 900kg is standard from div III up. over 950 is usual the higher leagues. for instance my last match my pack was 934KG I think, and I have a light 2nd row (102KG) who I could swap out for a 204cm guy whose10-15KG heavier. also in Backrow could throw in an extra 10-15kg if going for some extra weight. my best pack is slightly under 950KG though.

In my opinion once over 900KG it is stats more than weight that matters. props aim for minimium 120kg, hooker can be slightly lighter, 2nd rows I aim for 110kg minimum (yes I made allowances for my 211cm lad!) and backrow would be 110kg also as a guide. #8 slightly heavier than flanks usually. that is the rough guides I aim at for weight.

Yeah, weight isn't everything as Eof says.

There's some formula out there (can't recall it exactly now) but the jist of it was something like (2)strength x weight. Or maybe it was even less for weight. So a strong guy with an ok weight will do better than a massive lad who's not that strong. A root on google will find it probably.

On the rare occasion that I'm up against a really light pack, I can field a decent scrum of 1,054kg , but my average scrum is only 968kg.

Going bankrupt is a quick way to have your team go bot and start afresh, the tax alone on that price would force his team into bankruptcy
