    Howdo all,

I mainly shoot .308 but have gone back to the 6.5 lately. I'm using Lapua 139g target rounds. Getting great results out to 300yds and good results out to 600. Was talking to a representative from Sig Sauer in Germany who also shoots 6.5x55 (ssg205) and he said that Norma ammo is running best through his rifle. Problem is i cannot find anyone who stocks it (yet).

Was looking to see if anyone knew of any dealer stocking this ammo or better again, had any suggestions or recommendations as to other brands of 6.5x55 calibre ammo. Something over 139g preferably 150g - 160g.

    Cheers lads.

Lapua 139 is what I use in my LRS2. Nothing else is as good.

PMC make a cheap enough 144g FMJ which performs well out to 200 but I have not seen any around for years.

Agree with you about the Lapua. Was scanning over different sites and other brands are available abroad but not here. Could probably ship some in but at what cost. Plus if there is any delay in shipping i am effectively out of ammo till they arrive. Don't like either of those scenarios. Its not like the Lapua are a compromise round but would really like to get a hold of some with a little more punch.

Anyway if you here of anything give a lad a shout.

    Cheers.

i thought that MILLARD BROTHERS IRELAND LTD (01 - 429 8645) are the wholesale people for LAPUA.
probably would not sell direct, but could point you towards retailer that are stockists.

Sorry for the confusion lads. I have a dealer that keeps a good and regular supply of 139g Lapua. When i spoke of trying to import ammo myself i was refering to the Norma round and others like them that are not readily or even available at all.
