Yildiz are about 600 new, but they are cheap and will do the job as a first gun

I beg to disagree with you on the Yildiz issue. An acquintance of mine bought a brand new .410 s/s Yildiz which has been back to the dealers twice allready as far as I know and hasn't even got any proofmarks I can see. The Baikal mentioned above will be a superior gun in my opinion.

    +1 for the Baikal...
Had one for my first gun and believe me those things are nearly indestructable... Chuck it in a ditch and come back a year later and it will still work flawlessly like it was new...

Ideal first gun, and you can always trade it in for something else in a few years if you want to...

Had a Zabala O/U, S/t, M/C, Ej. for €650 new and could not fault it, except L.O.P. was aa little long for me:o.

why wont you buy a 2nd hand shotgun, you might find a very nice gun for similar money, my shotgun was given to me by my father when he bought a beretta, its an old BSA side by side that he bought 2nd hand when he was 20, he's 59 now and never had to get anything done to it besides clean it and it still shoots perfect now (a lot straighter then i do sometimes anyway), and it has done a lot of shooting in the last 40 years

just curious to see what the starting price is on new guns!!!

I was checking to see what the resale value on my own gun is, but for the price given I would'nt sell, its a great gun,in great condition.

for the record I agree. At the price of new guns and the resale value of second hand, i'd buy secound hand everytime.:D;):D

Got to agree with Baikal, for a first gun you can't go wrong.
There is not much I haven't done to mine and never given me one issue!

Baikals are are tanks alright, youd only break them wih a sledge, but youd pick up a decent 2nd hand remmy or beretta for €350-€400.
That or hand on to your own gun.

Re-mortgage the house, sell a kidney then ask the missus which one of the kids we'd get the most for. Yeah i could swing it.

Needless to say, when I arrived at the shooting grounds where this gun was for sale, on Friday the gun was there and when I left on Sunday it was still there.
No doubt, when I go back in July for the British Open, it will still be there!

When I take my first enormous bribe, it's straight to the Holland and Holland factory in London to launder my dirty money. :D

Let me know when so I can do the same and we save a few quid on travel expenses.

To be fair, if you're buying a bespoke Holland and Holland, the words "travel expenses" don't mean much to you. :p
