    Chevette, No.

    not cool??
Take one Chevette, one snow covered forest track, a Finnish rally driver and add a nervous BBC commentator

I would like to take exception to this... Not ALL minis are driven by overweight estate agents, mine for example:

You see a new Mini is one of thoses cars , it should be cool but because of the fat arsed estate agent image its not. It will though be cool as fcuk in 20 years :)...PS if your arse is'nt big you should not take offence from this post :D

How could an Enzo be anything other than cool? That and the Carrera GT, if I drive both I'll die happy!!!

It's not an Enzo, it's an Fxx. Enzo's would probably get driven around. The Fxx would go to the regular Ferrari customers only and usually get kept in a garage with the odd one seeing a track every now and again.

We'll have to park the discussion there, but in my opinion it not.
But if you think its cool, GREAT!:)

Well I drive a Punto so thats a big no on that one:) As for your reason on why a car is cool, alot of really cool cars dont drive particularly well. Pretty much all american muscle cars handle like boats!

Well that's not the only reason a car is cool, but it helps.
As for American muscle cars, i like some of them, but to me most of them are just ostentatious.
Ostentatious is not cool, Its just trying to be cool.

If i had on fxx, I'd use it as my daily driver, regardless of how terrible it would be for daily use.
Just imagine the morning commute to work, you get past the traffice jam and there's an open stretch of road and a WHOOOOOLE LOTTA power under your feet. A bit of a sneaky power surge will have anyone in a good mood in the morning.

And what would people think of you in it?
They'd think you're a right arsewhipe, and that DEFINITELY makes it cool.

Not a hope you could use it daily, i would guess a car like the FXX would need to be warmed up for a good half an hour to get the engine and gearbox oil at the right temperature, plus driving 10k miles a year odd would cost you a fortune, on both petrol and services. Don't get me wrong i'd love it as a daily driver but it would be impossible imo.

All you'd have to do it leave it run for a while before you leave and take a slightly longer journey to work.
I think cheaper food/toilet paper/clothes/house/girlfriend would all be worth it to be able to afford it as a daily driver too.:p

You need to stop pretending your on Top Gear. That is one of the coolest cars going but in fairness you do seem to have an obsession with diesel CLS' so I'll let your opinion slip.

The "Cool Wall" is a TG invention if you don't want the cars you post to be judged on the TG rules then post them somewhere else.. Plus I never said the CLS CDI was "cool", I said I thought it was a beautiful car. I didn't notice that it was a diesel, the engine wasn't running and I was too busy looking at the rest of it to see the common diesel injection badge, so I will retract my post on the Merc and admitt that it is a rubbish car and I shouldn't have posted it.

It wasn't an Enzo it was an Enzo FXX. It is not street legal and owners are only allowed to drive the car on special track days approved by Ferrari and after they drive the car they have to brief Ferrari on the car's performance. That is the epitomy of seriously uncool. The only people who even know that the car exists are petrol head geeks.

I think people are getting what the idea of cool is, I think Clarkson (even though he is a complete tool) may have hit the nail on the head for once when he described the cool wall.

If you picked up some classy women in a Escort RS/Skyline do you think she would be impressed? Coolness has nothing to do with how many ponies are under the bonnet or how much downforce its 10 wings can produce.
    CianRyan wrote: »
Hmm... You using your car to compensate for something?

Coolness, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. Any one using a car to impress women/men is just sad in my opinion.
A car being a great drivers car makes it cool in my books. Regardless of its looks or what others think.

Coolness is not in the eye of the beholder, it is judged upon by society as a whole and the opinions of peers. A car being great to drive makes it "cool" in the petrol head world, not in the rest of the world, the point of the "Cool Wall" is to give petrol heads like us some perspective on cars and show us what the rest of the world thinks of them. You and I may think that spending holidays at Nurburgring thrashing the hell out of a car is totally cool, but I hate to break it to ya, the rest of the world does not agree. Think of the "Cool Wall" as a lesson in reality.

lol good point :) But i know a couple people with Lotus Exiges and they can't use them as a daily driver, they'd love to but its just too impractical, and you could probably multiply that impracticality by 10 for the FXX :p

There is a street legal version of the fxx, set ya back more than a Veyron, but totally worth it.

Not to sound vain or anything, but what every i do is automaticly cool, because i do it.*:p

A holiday at the ring does sound like the best thing in the world actually.

Not a concept, I have been following it for nearly a year now. Aston One-77 is supposed to be ready for release in October, 7.3 ltr V12, over 700 bhp, 0-60 in 3.5, and a top speed of over 200 mph, and thats without a turbo. All stats are just estimates so far. Only 77 are going to be made and it will cost well over a million. Aston are really in tune with the state of global finances. :P

I love it but hate the big vents on the front sides, looks like the car is on steriods...

Don't know if it will be cool yet, depends on who they sell it to.

Ah now, I think they're a pretty cool looking car, and I wouldn't be being biased in saying so. They are certainly a lot 'cooler' than the likes of an Audi A3 or BMW 1 Series. You even see loads of trendy types driving them around the place.

They may not be an outstanding car, but 'cool factor' is the one thing they deliver in spades.
