The more free energy and cheaper things we get the more "they" will find a ways to tax us on things like our own ass gas but then someone will invent a catolithic converter butplug or something then they will try tax us on something crazy like daylight or moonlight and finally everyone will grow some balls and say "NOOOO ! enough ,we are all doing very well on this spinning ball of dirt ,lets have a tea party" and we live happily ever after....yep

Sure, but on the other hand, look at all we have that wasn't in the movie, the Internet... and errr... well that's already quite important!

I'm amazed by how radically the unfolding of times keep defying prediction. Everytime people try to predict what's gonna come up in at least ten years, they're so far off track it's not even funny. For example, 50 years ago they thought that by now we'd have flying cars and go buy our groceries in orbit or something. Instead, we have an ubiquitous world wide network concentrating more knowledge than any single library ever and devices in our pockets that tell us very precisely where we are on planet Earth and allow us to film. We have devices that do wireless telephone + geolocalisation device + filmless photographic camera + filmess video camera + jukebox + television + self luminous photographic album + calculator + clock + chronometer + general purpose computing and telecommunication device, in your pocket, seriously, who saw that coming?

My point is, what we predict is futile, what happens really is unforeseen (unless you're one bloody hell of a visionary genius) and awesome, and is what we really need. That's what's interesting about the future as it unfolds, no one can tell where we're going because where we're going is kind of unthinkable.

I've been working on this android bulter thing for a while, just trying to get the AI working properly, came up with a great name for it as well, Cybernetic Lifeform Node.

Not very catchy but I could probably shorten it to something else.
