The Off Topic Thread

Ok so myself and dunk were talking and there has been an awful lot of off topic gibberish banded about the forum lately. We're both in agreement that there is nothing necessarily wrong with this and we don't want to be heavy handed mods unless we have to be so in order to try and keep threads somewhat on topic, we decided to make this thread. This is the place for all general chatter between the posters of the MMA forum. Discuss whatever you want, from your favorite episode of Sex and the City to your favorite brand of handbag, in this thread. I've seen a few of these in other forums I post in and they work really well for the forum as it really helps break boundaries between posters as you get to see other sides of posters and realize that most of us are decent people who share a common interest,

Some of us are just jerks though




So with that said, welcome to MMA OTT

Rules are don't break the general boards rules or the rules of the charter, everything still applies.

No Flaming , No Spam, No Trolling, No Mention of MMA.

If you're gonna post funny pics make sure they're safe for work!

No abuse.

No discussion of a posters personal information without their consent.

I hate studying! I won't be online as much over the next month or 2 due to upcoming exams so have asked ther mods to keep and eye on the forum and help dunkamania out so he's not doing it all alone. I'll be in from time to time though so hold off on the celebrations!!

Cung Le is obviously more interested in films than MMA at the minute. After spotting him in this I looked him up on IMDB. Apparently he has 5 films coming out this year, thats nearly as many movies as MMA fights he's had in his career! He was an exciting fighter, pity.

Thought I recognised that kid in the lead role - he was Tyler Gage in Step Up and Step Up 2 the Streets! Totally going to see this film now, that guy can serve some serious moves. Wonder what kind of crew he is running with in this one?

Agreed about Cung Le, even on the interview he gave during the recent strikeforce event when asked if he preferred movies or fighting, I didnt like his answer, Gave me no hope at all we'd see him in action any time soon :mad:

I think this Ortestes guy was bang out of order banning Roper. Roper is one of the top posters in this forum and more often than not has very knowledgable, valid and informative posts.

A few things lads.

This isn't the forum to debate that Mods actions.

Roper, while a popular member here basically hung himself wording THIS POST as he did..

Any Moderator on any forum would have banned him for posting a thread with the intend to cause an argument, and NOT a debate

IMO it was a brave move banning Roper, but the proper one. Its just a pity it was forced upon an outsider to do it.

Now I was avoiding getting into a debate over this, my suggestion to people with an interest in debating this topic should start a thread over on feedback where it belongs.
