Then how would you ensure that both people send the games? There's nothing to stop someone signing up, agreeing to swap a game and then not holding up their end of the deal.

I'm not trying to be negative here but i just think the site needs some rules in order for it to work. Its a great idea but its open to abuse at the moment

Yep - same as this thread here - people are swapping games either in person or through the post.

Same as adverts.ie.

Of course it's open to abuse, and if you decide not to trust the person for whatever reason, only do a swap if you can meet them in person.

There is a certain amount of trust, but in general people are pretty decent.

The site acts as a facilitator - it allows people to say what they have to swap, it's then up to them how they do the exchange.

Surely any classifieds site is like this - for example, Buy and Sell. If you decide to buy something from Buy and sell and you send the guy a credit card payment and you never get the goods, would you blame buy and sell for this ?

Here is different because it's an established community - if you see a guy posting here with a low post history then you have reason to be suspicious and should meet in person. For something like buy and sell, personally I wouldn't buy anything without meeting in person.

I think the site needs an FAQ section or a description of what the site's about and how to use it - something like what you just posted. You would get more users to register if it had this.

Im really annoyed at the mo..I had set up a swap with LAMPOSTS..He was a no show twice.The second time really really made me angry.I have no car and had an exam on before we planned the swap off.Anyway we planned to meet up in the city center after my exam.I did a 20 min walk into the the city in the pissing rain and he was a now show for the second time.I didnt even get a apology.So be warned.LAMPOSTS has screwed me over.

Iv swapped with him before..no probs..but this time he first didnt show up as he had something to do..he didnt tell me about that however we hadnt set a time and then as iv explained earlier i was drenched when i got into town and was a no show.
