What do you think of girls who work on Auto Shows?

*SNIP* a huge gallery of girls who work at the Geneva Motor Show.

Some are pretty good looking and some are just... not so good looking.

Why do car companies hire some girls... seriously they dont make the cars look better if they scare customers away....

I think they're a bit sad tbh, and they're only ever attractive in a 'yeah I'd roiiiide her' way. You'd be chucking them out of bed afterwards for fear of destroying your sheets with all the make up and fake tan.

exactly, not exactly the take her home to mammy sort. Even though some probably are quite intelligent, Fake tan disgusts me, given very few females can use it correctly!!!

I mean, any girl with half a brain will realise that she's been reduced to mere "decoration" rather than being appreciated as a person with her own mind and abilities. Of course there are probably girls who love the attention and think they're great because they're getting paid for being "hot".



I don't envy either one of them, although for completely different reasons.

While i see a lot of peoples points and do agree with them.
not all of them are dirt bird's not all of them are ugly when dressed normal...
most of them, do the job for extra cash, some of them do, do the apealing glam stuff over extravagant in everything they do and lap up the attention. Other's treat it as a job and beheave really respectfully to them selv's....

While it's unfair to brashly say oh i ridoe her and that's all ssome of these girls hold degre's they just do a job's that suit them, I dont think there's anything mortaly wrong with it I mean if you got it flaunt it...

In all seriousness I appreciate the female form as much as the next fella but they just make car shows seem tacky.

Guy went around doing interviews with the booth-babes at the recent SHOT show (US's largest civilian firearms industry show), basically asking them questions about the products they were in effect trying to sell. Some had no clue about firearms at all, some knew enough about the stuff at their stand but were hopeless when asked to explain the merits vis a vis competitors, and a very few actually had a clue at all. Rather an amusing, and cringeworthy video.

I presume the auto-show counterparts are selected for their knowledge as much as their firearms counterparts. Well, it's a job. They might get to meet people, too, never know.

They tried banning booth-babes at E3 in an attempt to bring respectability to the gathering. A very unpopular move. (Bear in mind the average demographic who goes to E3) Not sure if the ban stands.

I'd imagine a lot of them do it for exposure too as they'd be wannabe models/glamour models.
I'd say it's well enough paid etc. Fair play to them!

They're just trying to make a bit of money - probably not good looking enough to get any other modelling job.

I think the ones who are tossers are the guys who ogle over them,,,,and get their picture with them, sad.

I've no opinion on them at all really. I'd be more inclined to have an opinion on the type of girls that constantly give out about such girls. Who cares?! if you're so above them as you proclaim to be, why would it bother you? Jealousy to a degree on the looks stakes anyway, probably.

And as for the comment about them all wearing fake tan...ever been out in Dublin lately? Nearly everyone wearing green and white looks like a fcukin' Ireland flag.

A lot of jobs are soul-destroying and demeaning though (e.g. plenty of office/retail jobs). Ultimately it's how much you get paid and how you get treated that matters.

I wouldn't read into it too much - great way of making extra cash, e.g. for students. Bet plenty of intelligent women do it. What's worse is guys saying "I'd shag her but then drop her" about them, or girls saying "what a slut".

Proper strippers, on the other hand, are dancers - they work hard to gain the skills they have. They're entertainment more than decoration.

Slight generalization there. Who's to say they've no talent simply because they obviously choose to pose with cars rather than get their t!ts out in lap dance clubs? And let's face it, lap dancing is no real talent! The thing they have in common though is that they ARE attractive in some degree or another whether you like it or not.

There's nothing wrong with it.
I know a girl who does it, they don't get paid much but it's a handy
side-line.

Using attractive people as a marketing tool isn't exactly groundbreaking stuff.

When's the last time you saw some minger being used to advertise, Levis, Special K, etc, etc.
Cadbury's even used that slutty, hot bunny rabbit to flog their Caramel bars FFS... (p.s. I definitely would)

We had a brolly dolly on a motorsport forum I use. She had an interest in the sport, and got to travel to all the european races. And it helped pay for college.

I agree with this. What's so awful about a girl wearing hot pants and a tight top standing next to a car? She's not shagging around, spreading STDs, not hurting anyone, what's the problem? Why do so many people have such a problem with girls getting paid for their looks/body? It doesn't mean they're thick or can't do anything else. I know a good few people with degrees who do this type of modelling and other people who do it to fund college. It's just a job.
