It's depressing looking out. There were floods on the way in today, what will it be like when get home...it hasn't stopped lashing rain since....

Getting nothing done today either...Maybe that's because I worked until 1:30am last night :p

the river is looking quite high here at the WGB in UCC - not in danger of flooding or anything, but high tide isn't for a couple of hours yet. I imagine town is totally drenched by now.

NOOO!! Not another flood!! And then that'll be frozen over and then it'll explode and then there will be a hurricane tossing big chunks of ice around and we'll run out of alcohol!!! AAAAAH!!! *hides under desk in fetal position sobbing and grabbing hair*
yeah it is high!!! ah well, atleast we know what to do if it floods again..
    whaaaaa

We know what to do? Grab a few cans and stay indoors instead of going to work! Woo hoo! ;)

Yeah recession house parties are the best! I think since I've moved into town I've actually only gone out about three times!

Freaking out about the floods!! Wouldn't be surprised at this stage if there was a heat wave tomorrow followed by hail the next day and a severe drought the day after!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,744 ✭✭✭deRanged

it wasn't too bad in town when I walked through at 4 - the rain has eased off a lot. The river is quite high, but I don't think there's much risk of flooding.
    famous last words perhaps!

Way down deep in the middle of the Congo, a hippo took an apricot, a
guava and a mango. He stuck it with the others, and he danced a dainty
    tango.

The rhino said, "I know, we'll call it Um Bongo", Um Bongo, Um Bongo,
They drink it in the Congo.

The python picked the passion fruit, the marmoset the mandarin. The
parrot painted packets, that the whole caboodle landed in.

So when it comes to sun and fun and goodness in the jungle, They all
prefer the sunny funny one they call Um Bongo!

I know I know, sold computer to buy a HD ready TV, I have broadband but use it for xbox live instead. I sit in front of a computer all day so I'm happy to go home and have TV or console to keep me busy. :)

    Mmmm.. 200 netbooks for a euro... :p
