Haha! I'm definitely a nerd, I wasn't aware these other people were. :D Nerds rule. Also, hai! ^_^ Sorry to hear you haz a cold. I've managed to escape flu so far this Winter, but it's not actually Christmas yet so I'd wager the monster of all swine-flu-meets-bird-flu is biding it's time, waiting to descend upon me. ¬_¬
    Nice to meet u!
TY and best wishes for the great escape!
swine flu and bird flu would be so much better to deal with if people who get it were walking around say with a chicken win instead of their arm or a snout instead of a nose, would be funny like!
    U are the evil :-O
    :D

I'm not sure but seeing as it is Christmas I'd say they will be open, surely they can't risk losing a lot of business! I'll check later if I am around that area. What end of oliver plunkett st?

Hiya well I was over there, they have giant shutters down preventing me from seeing their opening hours (I'm assuming they have them printed on the glass somewhere) I'd imagine they will be open anyway. Sorry :( maybe call them in the morning?

Which shops? Most of them open around 12 on a normal Sunday I think however it is Christmas so many are open even earlier, possibly 9/10 however to be on the safe side I would not head in until 12 unless you live really close by??

Yeah I'd imagine 11/12 also. So how is everyone in here?

I'm bored out of my mind here at home babysitting my little sister and watching TV... :(

Not too sure which shops yet as I don't know what I'm looking for:confused::confused:
It's just the way I shop, I need to get all my presents in one outing.
Not high up on my favourite to-do stuff....

evening all. I'm just back from Avatar. beautiful film, but the 3D has really messed with my eyes.

it's well worth seeing in the cinema. it's not deep or anything though.
it's a film pushing technological boundaries in cinema, see it for that and you'll appreciate it. expect oscar winning dialogue, and you won't.
    3D must be cool though.

well, I don't know. I've got sore eyes and a stabbing headache kicking in.
and I didn't think it was that effective. other people seemed to love it though, I could see people recoiling and flinching at times.

Yeah true. I'll give it a go now maybe next week. We should have boards cinema meet up or something.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,744 ✭✭✭deRanged

it's a film to see in the cinema for sure. it'd be a bit lost on the small screen.

a boards cinema meet up is a great idea. just no more 3D please :)

well, it's (way) too long, over hyped (naturally), the storyline is a little weak, I have a feeling that with the 3D they added sequences just to show that off, dialogue that george lucas would be proud of.

still worth seeing on a big screen though. I do think it marks a new step in CGI integration etc.

    excellent.

in other news it's cold out there. had -2 showing on the car for a bit. not too icy though, had a few wheel spins but nothing too hairy.
