    Diesel Alfa.

    No thanks.

The 2.4 is a pretty good engine.

Nah, I'm averaging about 7.5 and that's with spirited driving.
I'd love to have the tbi but alas..
It's much more economical than the 2.2 auris we've got..

That's just rediculous. Also annoys me that they put a ZV plate on a 1988.

It makes no sense. The year plates came in in 1987 so this is totally unauthentic.

Oh and bull bars not included!!!

Haven't they been exporting all those bean cans to Africa where they go mad for old Toyota and Nissan vans? Could explain the crazy price.

2,450 for a 99' 1.4 escort. Low mileage, who cares. I still see these cars as old bangers when the odd time you see one knocking around.

Not even a nice example of spec, colour or condition.

Ah yeah but if you’re into Alfa’s it would be one of the proper petrols you’d want.

    V6 with all the chrome.....

I would love on as my coffee table .

Just not in the 159, the v6 in that is a GM engine which isn't that good.
I thought we were specifically talking about the 159.
If I had to go busso then a 156/147 or 166 would be the ones to go for.

These newer Toyota 86's are kinda cool but because this one is a "special order from Japan" or so he says doesn't make it worth 50% more then what a Euro version is. 34,500 ?! Unless I'm seriously misinformed or something... I wouldn't pay that for it, no way Pedro!

I dunno, a new one on the road is just shy of €50k iirc, so €34k probably isn't too unreasonable for a two year old one. Some 12 and 13 models are in the low teens at this stage but that one is still pretty new. The only other 162 in the republic is a lower spec one (albeit a dealer sale) priced at 30k.

But it has an upgraded audio system!!!

Mark Levinson wouldn’t lower himself to get into a Toyota taxi nevermind lend his name to one of their audio systems.

If I wanted it, it would be a 21k or 22k car to me as a private sale. 34.5k for a NA Toyota wouldn't do it for me. I do like these cars though.

The whole black/red interior reminds me of an RX8 and I think the steering wheel needs a chrome badge rather than being black. That reminds me of Porchses and Astons but maybe that's the idea :D

Im not sure where I stand with some types of kit cars. Is a 25 year old MR2 Ferrari 355 replica worth 8,500? I personally wouldn't drive it and think he is dreaming asking that sort of money for it. How would you even insure something like this considering it does not look like an MR2 anymore? I would hate to ring up every insurance company explaining what it is before getting a quote.

You could buy yourself an early 2000's Porsche boxster for 6k....

What astounds me is the fact that someone paid what I would think is a LOT of money getting the parts to replicate a 355.

As far away as possible. A joke of a car, beyond embarrassing unless you're in your early 20s and have the excuse not yet leaving childhood behind.

The crappy wheels are a dead give away that's it's not what it looks like. The chassis is longer on a real 355 to, it looks obvious when you look at this and then a real one.

They're a lot wider as well, from behind. Not to mention... etc. etc.

Brakes (or lack thereof) would be the biggest giveaway

    Plenty of MR2 around.
It's not as if they butchered something special or rare to make the replica.
It looks to be in good nick and has an NCT.
We are all car enthusiasts, live and let live I say.

3.0 non turbo. No thanks. I had 03 Legacy GT 2.0 turbo in manual when I lived in New Zealand. Same model as above only in estate form. Was a weapon of a car. 280bhp and I sold it for nz$9,500 before I left.

I’d almost an identical one when I was there. Auto like that but not paddle shift. Absolute animal of a car.

    I had a BL5 from Japan.

He might get 2-3k for this :pac:

Just popped onto his site, he wants €1000 for a base spec '03 Saab 9-5. That says it all for me. 😂
