i know its 05 and from a dealership, but over 7k, seriously?

    http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/4939005

Might be asking a bit much but the market isnt exactly flooded with 05 AUTOMATIC 1.9 TDI's with less than 50,000 miles on them now is it?

I reckon the dealer knows this and is just chancing his arm as he mightn be in any rush to sell, but a more "realistic" offer might take it.

Hardly "rough" looking  .. looks quite well taken care of and original if you ask me! ... Would easily be worth 1000-1500 to a collector

Meh, just my opinion, mostly based on the side view with the dealer writing, perhaps its just the lighting playing tricks on me, but the panels don't look particularly straight along the lhs.

(perhaps rough is a bit harsh on reflection)

But, being left hand drive makes it even less appealing.. just my opinion of course, there are thousands of lhd 5's on the go across the continent still, a rhd would probably be rarer, as there doesnt seem to be a whole lot of them left here, id have no idea about the uk though...

possibly a collectors item to the relevant fanboi, but in my eyes, 1500 is a bit ott :pac:

My dads old 2009 Superb company car with 200K on it is going for 12K on DoneDeal at the moment. Ambition spec too so it's decent enough. 21K would get you a 2011/12 Elegance.

Sure if you don't want a diesel one get the 3.6 litre V6 4x4 :D

My problem is the rear of the saloons, the light clusters just look awkward on them. The estate looks much better.

IMO, they're just too big tbh, I think the saloon isn't a looker but the interior is nice. Certainly won't be lusting after one anyway! :D

'04 Daewoo Nubria, bit of tax, long nct, 120k miles, and looks to be straight enough for €2700?

Interior is quite nice in it though and it does look in good nick, he's dreaming if he's expecting a bank draft made out to the asking though :p

Nothing to do with the steep asking price but he also mentions "Current insurance €500 FTTrd P". Its not very clear but I assume FTTrd P means for third party cover. Surely somebody that drives should realise that motor insurance premiums vary greatly depending on the individual.

12 year old 200k miles no test 1.9tdi bora asking €1650.... almost in dreamer territory already

then the punch line! no engine and a 200k miles chassis €1650 LOL

    1650 / Pi = 525

    realistic asking price = €525

I thought it was expensive and then seen it needed an engine complete dreamer.

I like opinions on this, my mate wants to go have a look at this but I'm convinced nobody in there right mind would buy a car from new, hold on to it for 14 years, care for it and then sell it with just over a month left on the nct "and will pass again no problem" without there being something massively wrong with it: http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/5010440

Seems rather well priced to me, alas as stated what's potentially gone on it?

If it checks out then snap it up!

I have just sold a car that I owned from new for a simillar time and had it pass the NCT just before I sold it as I would expect a purchaser to think as you do. However, if you try and book an NCT test, you will be offered dates in two or three months time. Not useful if you want to sell it now.

If the seller has all the old NCTs (7 in all) and the detail results shows passes with room to spare then 'it should pass - no problem'. It should have passed a year ago, and if they had not changed the rules, would still have a year to go and you would accept that.

If you need more info, ask the seller. Ask for a guarantee that it will pass or money back.
