    Is it not the case that almost half the money goes on winnings, then most of the rest goes to charity work etc and only a tiny percentage like 1% or 2% is the profit that the lotto company gets to keep? That is so much money though that it is more than worth it.

    Everyone says that, and most people know the odds etc etc
    I'd still prefer to waste €2 a week on a chance to win €1000000 than using that €2 on a couple of Mars bars
