Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is it me or are England offside pretty much all of the time? How many times have they been caught for it now?

Yeah i know its just a really awful decision and one that' ll haunt him i mean such a great and patriotic player should never be embarrassed like this.

It is crazy. If he isn't replaced at half time then I think Mallet has lost the plot.

Trying to follow it on the big screen here in the stadium. Looks like Italy are conceding the scores rather than England creating.

Thoughts on Goode's try? Difficult to see here, although looked like it was a close call.

    What did they say upstairs?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,127 ✭✭✭ironingbored

19-3. Italy would be well in this game even with a mediocre scrum half. Having said that could get him in as a replacement for Whittaker.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,776 ✭✭✭Noopti

Jaysus....to much bloody tripping going on these days. Haskell you idiot.

Now Italy, slot this over....go in 16 points behind, replace Bergamasco, come out in the 2nd half and try and get some honour back.

haha, I wonder if you'd ever get Ryle nugent or tony Ward calling an Irish player a half-wit. I doubt it.

Spot on. England look like scoring most when Italy have the ball.

Was pretty straight forward call. Only took a two looks by TMO to award it. That try aside he has been poor.

Was there contact there by Haskell? There certainly looked like intent.

Come on Italy, make a game of it!

God, poor, poor Bergamasco...please, please Mallet...give him the shepherds crook....A player of his quality doesn't deserve this...jesus, get Troncon to put a shirt on, he couldn't be any worse!!!

    Yeah, it was blatant.

Seriously, Italy have a lot of the ball and the forwards are on top really.
They should be a lot closer to England.

Italy could win this if they get a proper 9.

The problem is it could be too late!
If they had started with a proper SH they would surely be very close if not winning the game.

Only 16 behind, get a proper scrum half on, England will cough up penalties all day and are playing poorly, who knows what will happen?

Well a Italy of old would be 50 points down by now. Come Troncon get out of retirement and they ll be fine for a few more years.

True. Hopefully they can come out and start making use of their superior possession and territory.

I think all we can take from the game so far is that England are poor and Italy have been strangled by an extremely poor coaching decision.

Proper SH on now! Come Italy YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

Finally, some sense has come into it!

    ITALIA! ITALIA!

Really hope Italy do it, just so John Inverdale can eat his words from before the match when interviewing Dallagio:
"I won't ask you what you think the result will be, but how comprehensive will it be?"

I know, the Italian fans are doing themselves justice for sure!

I'd love the see Borthwicks stats so far. He yards gained must be negative at this stage.

How he's a international player i dunno. Really why the hell is MJ a manager and why didnt he at least clean the present coaches because England are the definition of lethargic

    england are an absolute disgrace

    poor in the scrum
    poor in the backs
    poor decision making
    poor at the breakdown

    just so, so poor

We are looking at the two poorest teams in the 6N I think. I put England at 5th, Italy at 6th in my prediction, and looking at this game I can't see myself changing that prediction.

    get in there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,460 ✭✭✭Orizio

Turnover off Bortolami, Ellis try, game over unfortunately.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,776 ✭✭✭Noopti

Ah Jaysus, good try. But Italy don't deserve this scoreline.

First of the English tries that can't be attributed to the scrumhalf debacle though.

Edit: Wales v England next. lol...that is going to be fun!!

"And we are hearing our Italian vistors for the first time"

What stupid commentating because all you have heard is the Italian crowd compared to the non existent England fans.

Can't stand the BBC commentators, depressing as hell regardless of how good or bad the game is.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,127 ✭✭✭ironingbored

    England are atrocious.

Parisse is a shining example to his team and country. Absolutely brilliant

What I hate about Brian Moore is that it seems he's just sitting there waiting for things to rant about he lets alot of action go just to get to his next whinge!

E vai Mirko!!!!!! Great try. Best running rugby we've seen today.

Yup pretty much bit of a worry for us in Rome because that pack is just pure awesome.

No doubt, had Italy started the game with a recognised scrummie, they would have won this game. England are a pointless rabble...shocking performance, bloody awful game..roll on 5 o'clock

Some of the Italian hits have been superb.

I'm more worried about Italy now than England.

    C'mon Ireland!
