This is that famous tree in county carlow. I'm from the county myself and I have never taken a photograph of this tree that seems to attract loads of other photographers. I took this through a bus window on the way to Dublin to see my girlfriend. I was lucky i had the 400d and the nifty fifty with me. I noticed the overcast sky and thought well maybe i'd be able to get something from this. I thought it turned out well for a shot through a dirty bus window.

Before and after shots from the recent floods. The after taken last week. The river Lerr runs just behind the trees and flows into the Barrow about 200m further along.

    The before:

    And after:

There were a couple of sheds outside the picture on higher ground - so nothing died.

My attempts at bringing Carlow to the masses!!

You might need to install a plugin called sliverlight, its free and small, takes about 10 secs to install.
I'm planning to do more once the weather warms up, if anyone can suggest areas or things around Carlow, that would be great!!

Let me know what you all think!

Its probably a rubbish photo as I'm not the greatest photographer in the world, but this just shows how cold it is down at Ballykealey House.
