It's the reason I bought the G9. It really was just laid out there in front of me & it's just a grab shot.

Caught the same sky myself on the 20th Feb.

Sadly there is not much you can do when you are in an industrial estate when it comes to shooting :D

It was an amazing sky though :)

The good news is that their was only 30 culled this year.
Dragon you perhaps could have done with some flash fill in that shot, weather effected the lighting on the Deer's face...using a flash would have helped a lot I think/

I don't want to go off topic, but you have to think of it from the animals perspective,it's all easy saying that,But think of the huge amount of work that would need to be put in,Firstly finding an area where it would be suitable for them,Most of these are already populated by deers and so in doing this I'd assume most of the weaker stags would be killed off my the resident stags? So that would bring trauma and fear to the dears,Then if they find an area where they could do,Each deer has to be tranquilized, carried from there to a waiting transport box,While this is happening the other 30 are running for their lives crashing into each other out in front of cars etc etc,So you've got to deal with some injuries,Dears and vets do not go well together and very little who are taken in come out alive.I know the same would happen for culling but them think of the rest,The 30 that have moved may have been moved from their mates and out of sight of the park wardens that might notice if they were injured or sick,They also have to grow accustomed to their new environment which could have hugely different terrain and nutrition from where they were,But then what happens when they breed?Where do they go?Where do the ones from the original place go?I know it's sad but it normally is the only route,It's either that of they re-introduce wolves and then all you'll see in scattered carcasses in phoinex park(might be spelt wrong)

Sorry for going off topic,Delete if you want but i though i'd just add my opinion to stick-dans and Ar's conversation!

    Anyway back OT

An old shot i found an processed(cropped and corrected exposure)
