I reckon he will be available to talk at 8 in the morning

his second advert says he's only 17.

im certainly not up on my legal mumbo jumbo, but does that make him still a 'child' so he cant be prosecuted etc?

The law is great crack here if you are a minor, one of the buddies nephew was totally out of control in his younger days, he ended up in St Pats, if he was an adult he'd have been in jail 'till he was 30 odd.

What makes you think that? More than possible to do.

Under 18 must be dealt with by juvenile caution (by law). If crime is serious enough, a decision to prosecute may be taken.

Oh right, gotcha. Anyone over the age of 12 can be detained some way or another if a judge sees fit to do so.

    Anyway, back on topic

who buys a forking car with no windows, locks or log book? but thats ok, he'l swap it for a clean black or white eg.

this bloody pisses me off, he says no timewasters in his ad, then talks a load of crap to waste peoples time,
the black civic is a 3 door car afaik so why would he break the back window to get in:confused:, what if he couldnt reach the lock in the front door?, and he broke the window to open the car then says the locks are broken!
and was bought as a track car, how many racetracks are there in wexford?,
and he mysteriously has another civic aswell, which is terrible looking with no tax no nct, and as mentioned an engine transplant,
maybe he has seen too many episodes of wheeler dealers?
and he is 17 and dosent drive, he wouldnt be much use on a track if he cant drive,
his poor parents, 2 civics blocking up their driveway/shed and a dreamer inside on donedeal.ie

    apologies for the rant:o

If the car was stolen, it definitely wasn't by him - any novice car thief would know EG Civics have waffer-thin door frames that can be pulled open with ease, no need to break anything.

Anyone seen any cheap roundarounds with NCT until June?
Looking for something to get me by until my J1 as I've just sold my main car.

My bangernomics car was vandalised over the weekend , so I have to go the bangerniomics route again!! All the windows were smashed, including front and back windscreens.
As it was only worth about €800 it won't be worth my while putting the thing back on the road.
So, I had my eye on a 98 volvo s40 t4, wagon. Looks clean with 100k on the clock. 2 keys and full NCT.
Anyone have any horror stories about the t4? Price is good too (under 1k)
I need reliability more than anything else. Any comments greatly appreciated.
