[XBOX360] BRAND NEW boards fifa club team

This has been tried a few times but hopefully 3rd time lucky!

I'm looking to get a new Boards fifa club team going but go the root of the fifa league being done on boards by having a few rules which make it better!

The rules would be as follows:

1) Any people who excessively glorys will be thrown off the team.

2) If you pick a position say RB stick to your position and don't be up in the other teams box for the majority of the match. If you fail to do this you'll be kicked off the team

3) 1st come 1st serve basis! Obviously a lot of people are going to pick CF,AM,RM etc. If a player has been playing most of the night in a particular position you cant expect to come online a bit later and take that persons position who has been playing there all night. you'll have to play some where else.

4) Don't just come on and play 1 game. One of the problems with the last team was there was too many players that would come on have 1 game and get off so we couldn't get a good run going because the team was changing too much for nearly every game. If your going to come on and play please try and have a few matches rather then 1 or 2.

5) Mikes! Again another problem was nearly everyone not having mikes. I think we'll play better with them and also there was too many times in the last team that someone would be playing good as a certain player but whoever was manager for the next match wouldn't start that player! Mikes will eliminate this problem.

6) If there's 5 players or under online we'll pick the any position and ill play it! When there's not many people playing and no one picks the any position the computer will control most of our players. When there's a good few on that's not a problem because it will only control 1 or 2 players. but when there's few playing the computer controls most of the players making it less fun because they usually just lob the ball up the pitch.

7) Anybody who abuses other player by calling them crap etc will be kicked off the team.

8) Anybody who delibratly fouls to get sent off will be kicked off the team.




Id also like to get peoples thoughts on what teams we should be. I don't think we should go for a big team i.e united, barca etc. I think we should go for a unique team that most other teams wouldn't pick.

Looking for 2 good wingers and people that can play in defence but just because people have picked CF and CM doesn't mean you cant pick that position as well because chances are we wont all be on at the same time.

Regarding the "Any" poistion- I dont mind playing it either. I think what we should do is that I play a few matches as any and then you can play a few matches as any and then we'll ask the lads who they prefear in the any poistion and that person will be 1st choice for that poistion but if we're both not online at the same time then either of us can play it.

A few of us had a few games last night.


Our record was 3 wins, 2 losses and 1 draw


Kilamangiro was in good form up front.


After playing a few matches I can see that we're definitely going to have a problem with Atleticos defense which is frankly rubbish.


If anyone has any ideas for any new teams please tell. (Try and think of a team that not many people pick rather then the big teams)

Valencia would be my 1st choice out of them and they have 2 great DM (Albelda & Baraja is that how you spell it lol) aswell to help on the defense side.


Another thing that annoyed me with Atletico was no left footed winger so I found myself cutting in alot instead of crossing. Silva would eliminate that problem

Aston Villa for me. 4-3-3 formation. Can have the three forwards(Agbonlahor, Carew and Young) constantly switching could cause confusion for teams.

Then two centre midfielders and one defensive midfielder. Works very well.

Yeah, you could use Vicente or Silva out on the left, depending on whoever is LM's preference. Both would do a good job.

With Atletico you could always shift Simao out to the right, move Maxi into the center, but Garcia on the left, that would fix that problem if you prefer a left footer. Loads of jiggery-pokery can be done.

I was only around for 3 games last night, shouldn't really have played any as I was in the middle of stuff! Good though, its infinity easier to play as David Villa rather than David Silva.

Think the lads that we beat 0-3 were Irish too, with gamertags like Richie Bennett and Rielly(something or other), they must have been.

Ya good games last night, one thing though we have the pace as Valencia up front so try release the forward players a bit quicker with through balls. The amount of times I made a break and the pass just came that little too late catching me offside. We did score some crackers though and some good passing around, whats more most of the games we won, we won them by 2 or 3 goals so hopefully the record keeps going! Good stuff last night catch you on their later!

Another thing I forgot to mention!

Its really 1st come 1st serve when it comes to positions. The earlier your on the better position your going to get.

If 2 lads have been playing up front for most of the night you cant expect to come on a bit later and take one of those positions.

So make sure in the dressing room before hand you know what positions people have been playing if they've been on for awhile so not to cause confusion.

Ye I know where your coming from but our defensive record was great last night and I think that's down to not trying a through ball any chance I got the ball in midfield so we weren't giving the ball away cheaply we were passing it around a bit. But Ill take what you said on board for the games tonight!

Yeah we all should really use them when possible, even if you only use it just to call for a through ball before you run offside or whatever

If you are playing the any you have to be on the look for the other players making breaks and runs cause a lot of teams all the players go any and you split there defence right open with a good through ball cos they all get confused who is controlling who. This is only our first few games though and it will take time for us to get used to Valencia aswell.

Again I see where your coming from. Bensfc (i think that's his name) was playing RM and I wanted him to be involved in the game because it would be very boring for him if we went through the middle every time and to be fair to him he did get a few goals.


I'm not starting arguments but I like the way you keep criticising my play of the any position even though we didn't lose 1 game when I played that position last night by myself and when you played it for 1 game by yourself we lost 4-0 so I hope you can see how hard the position can be!!

If you are going to be the any player all the time you have to be able to take some criticism as you put it, yes i played the "any" for one game, using your tactics and setup as oppose to my own and we lost. I believe you played up front for that game and didnt score anything. All the other games i played as CF and we scored and won if you want to be picky
Yes its hard being any but if you are going to play that position you have to be open to suggestions from the other players. You get to control most of the players so its annoying when your up front waiting for that through ball that never seems to come and people arent on the mics so its hard to just run around waving your arm for the pass. But I must have been doing something right if we were winning most games by 4 or 5 goals and not conceding. If we lost our last few matches and you were giving me tips then I would be saying fair enough but we weren't. We were scoring all different types of goals Crosses (Which I have to say your very good at), Through balls, long rangers etc.

I think most people will agree that they don't like getting critised but especially when we're winning and winning good.

Anyway lets drop this. As i said ill be on for games around 6!

P.S when I'm playing up front I need someone to set me up if I'm to score a goal (Only Messing)
