The manflu is a very serious illness.

Specialists in Manflu for the US Government have likened it to the bite of the Black Widow spider and its just as deadly with no known antidote.

Nobody knows what causes it - but Womens Action Groups are behind a sinister plot to prevent treatment.

They aim to deprive us of the Female TLC essential to the cure and containment.Chocolate is very theraputic and beware of women using possesive words such as "mine" in relation to chocolate-eat the chocolate anyway.

Chocolate has only been known to work for men.

Women have an adverse reaction and its best to hand over your chocolate to the nearest man for safekeeping.

Womens Groups cant help as they have a psychological condition called Manfluism and are in Manflu denial.

Given your earlier post about your OH and her care and devotion etc, you appear to be somewhat conflicted.

Are you sure your OH is not in a Womens group? Or even worse, in a Womens group and addicted to chocolate?

Don't tell us, as part of her care and devotion, she handfed you chocolate too?

My OH has been very insistant that I have the best possible chocolate.

Chocolate is always at arms lenght.

OF course, Manflu denial is always a huge worry to me.

At least she has sense keeping it at arm's length. :D

Manflu doesn't exist, it's made up by men as a reason to slack imo, the cold/virus I and the other women here had doesn't appear to have necessitated much more than rest and an ability to soldier on a la themadchef's post :D

The weak mens on this thread just prove that ever more :)

Of course doncha know that women who have contracted this illness are often disbelieved and uncared for by other women such is the insidious nature of manflu denial.

Read this important article which shows that despite stoically soldiering on -men are still stigmatised while women presenting with similar symptoms are emotional and milk the system- one wonders if they are not "faking it".

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-1096950/Official-Forget-man-flu--women-really-milk-comes-ill.html

I know you will say a woman would never fake it -but wasnt there a woman from Donegal who faked restoring a chair on the Late Late Show Antiques show.Who knows what they will fake.

My wife was up North shopping on monday and came back with a slight cold.
Since then I've been laid up with the worst case of man-flu i can remember.

For a week now I havent been able to sleep till 3 to 4 am when I just collapse. Apart from that its 21hrs a day of what sounds like 15 orphans all with whooping cough.
I get the required sympathy dosage from my wife.... but I dont know how much longer I can take this!

Of course your wife is giving you sympathy - she exposed you and should feel guilty.

She is a woman and is unaffected and sounds like a carrier.

Remember carriers are unaffected by the disease and take huge risks. In the early 20th Century a woman Typhoid Mary infected and killed loads of people with typhoid but had no symtoms herself.

Maybe your wife is Manflu Mary.

I am concerned that the shopping trip hasnt meant any chocolate for you.

Here's how I got rid of it...

Exputex! Clears out the phlegm, if that get's infected, you are really fu*ked!

I know what you are saying, I've never had anything like the dose I got a few weeks ago, it's not a normal flu, it's something else with a few Duracell batteries inside.
