So what's it to be lads - mass or selection box? Who goes for the traditional fry up or who goes for the more alternative dutch gold breakfast? Who gets up to see the joy on the kids faces or who wants to go downstairs to tell them to shut the fcuk up as you're trying to sleep off a hangover?:)

Nah, go to midnight mass and no need to go the following morning.
Definitly a higher attendance at midnight mass then Christmas Day mass in my experience

Mass in the morning because that's when the hot girls are there and I don't have to listen to the drivel. Then home to presents if we go to mass. Then eat myself stupid. Three dinners or four, hmmmmm

Get up at 8am. Grilled bacon and sausage on toast.

Leave at 10am for mother in laws. Deposit brilliant presents and collect ****y presents(possibly more knock off DVD's again).

Head to Grandmothers - give good presents and get box of sweets.

Go to mothers. Have dinner and possibly have a nap afterwards.

Head home. Eat crap for the rest of the night. We were shopping today and bought stuff specifically for gorging on Christmas night.

Back home at about 3 for a couple of hours sleep.

Over to another cousin's for dinner and crap loads of beer.

Wake up to "aghhhhhhhhh its really really Christmas" shouts from my 4 yr old (pretty please God not before 6am). Flit to sitting room. Watch the chaos that is small children ripping open presents. Glow in the warmth of love for about 5 mins, then kettle, coffee, smoke, while they murder each other over who actually got what.

Tidy up, feed the monsters, shower, stuff the beast, movie madness, dinner around 3 ish i hope. Kids passed out by six o clock... hopefully follow them about ten.

All in work will be a rest the following day :D

Having to listen to my mother moan at my beside for over doing it in the local on christmas eve.

Nursing this horrible hangover as I get out of bed like i've been snatched from the womb.

Open my 'surprise' present - a 6 pack of tanga briefs from Penneys or some variation of this.

Get cracking on the dinner, trying not to puke cos of the smell of farty vegetables.

    Eat too much

    Drink too much

Fall asleep on the couch watching re runs of only fools and horses.

    Aaaaah - Christmas.:)

This year is going to be a lot more relaxed than any other year. Usually it's Christmas Mass on Christmas Eve at half 7 (that's still happening)
Then Christmas morning get up, exchange gifts with family, send texts to everyone saying "Happy Christmas!"
Eat breakfast - usually fruit and cereal
Listen to my Dad sing Christmas songs with his own words
At about 1.30 go to my aunts and pick up alcoholic uncle who's already 10 down (this year, he's not coming for the first time, so I think this part of Christmas is being abandoned!)
    At 3 have the dinner
At 3.30 be telling the parents to SHHH during RTEs Christmas Movie (most likely Shrek)
Then after dinner and another unwatched Christmas Movie listen to Mam SHHH me as the soaps start
Wonder why so many soaps are on Christmas Day
Drink the rest of the day away in front of the tv
Roll eyes with brother as mother talks about soaps
Feel crappy from so much junk
    Sleep

Well i'll probably spontaneously combust if i go into a church, so selection box for me...the morn will go as follows: wake up to noisy nieces, music from a neighbours tv or kids toys, and the smell of a fry. Now none of this is my cup of tea, so i'll sleep for a few more hours:D

workin dis mornin in cork, get home (arklow) from cork at bout 7, drop bags, acknowledge family's presence, go pub! get up at 6 xmas morning with a hairy inside of head, open pressies, eat and drink myself into a fat stupor for a few days before goin back to work the following tuesday, anybody else think d best atmosphere in a pub is on xmas eve?

Im in Lanzarote at the moment so my Christmas morning will start with a nice Irish fry up in the hotel, followed by a few hours lazying about by the pool. We have dinner booked by the harbour for the evening, followed by a fireworks display on the beach that night.

    Can't wait!

Drill for tomorrow - get up, exchange pressies with OH, have breakfast.
Pack the car and head to OH's family for Christmas dinner. Give pressies and gorge. Relax for a bit.
Head back to Dublin to my parents Christmas evening for tea. Give pressies and gorge.
Watch plenty of tv, relax, sleep.
Wake up Stephen's Day for Christmas Day 2 at my parents. Gorge once more on turkey, ham, veg, numerous forms of potato and plenty of chocolate.
Get up on the 27th for Christmas Day 3 with extended family. More gorging and present giving.

Have my expandable waist-line clothes at the ready ;)

We don't celebrate the religious side of Christmas. But it's easier for us just to go along with the whole "holiday" rather than not do it at all.

    - Get up
    - Give presents to family
    - Have some toast || Take medication
    - TV
    - Dinner || Take medication
    - Read
    - Bed
