Ladies, fancy bossing the boys around for a bit while helping kids at Christmas?

First up, I've robbed this idea from Hagar over in Lolocaust, but seeing as it's for a good cause I don't think he'll mind. Secondly, if you don't know what Lolocaust is, please don't keep asking in this thread. All I'll say is that it's a bad, bad place, and not somewhere that the gentle ladies of this forum would want to visit. Well ok, some of you might, not looking at anyone in particular. ;)

Those of you who have been around Boards a while will probably know about the Santa Strike Force (SSF), but for those who don't the SSF is Boards very own Christmas charity for kids. It was set up by DeVore a few years ago to make the lives of kids in places like hospitals, Barnardos, Barretstown, etc., just that little bit more fun at Christmas. Every year a number of fundraising activities take place, already this year The Ladies Lounge got itself a new male mod courtesy of a raffle in aid of SSF (lucky you!), and last week the Stand-Up Comedy forum raised over €500 from a gig they organised. For anyone interested in learning more about the SSF, or wishing to help out this Christmas, see here.

So where is this all leading to? Well for those of you familiar with BGRH, Mr. Tom Dunne has generously decided to auction off a one week modship to the forum. All funds raised go to the SSF, and who doesn't want children to be happy at Christmas? Apart from Snyper, that is.

So what do you need to do? It's simple really, pledge money towards a joint tLL bid for the BGRH modship. Everyone can donate here, but to be fair I think it's only right (as well as being potentially more disruptive to BGRH :D) that should we have the winning bid, the person chosen is one of the ladies who has contributed to the bid. Feel free to donate here on this thread, but only pledges PM'd to me will be part of the confirmed final bid. This is so a) I can keep track of the running total easier; and b) so I know who's in the running for the modship should we win. I'll work out something for how we decide who gets picked later and will let you know.

Finally, just to give you an idea what we're up against, the Lolocaust bid currently stands at around €350. However that's a private forum and has a limited number of Boardsies it can draw on. There's a much bigger pool here, so with a little effort (and hopefully generosity) we can come up with the winning bid here.

It's all up to you guys now.

Christmas is akin to a builders holiday for snyper.

Seeing as there appear to be other plans afoot, I'm going to kill this off.
