    You should not be drinking water from the water softener anyway, sodium content is too high. The chlorine in the water is partly what prevents us from dying :-).

    Worrying about the salt content in softened water is a little bit Irish as the saying goes.

    It is tiny.

    You'd want to be drinking an awful lot of the stuff to kill yourself,

    Also if you're worrying about water as a salt source and you still eat crisps, drink coke, eat bread etc then you are worrying about the wrong thing.
