I echo what dafunk said, there's always a backlog with registration every year, just go in and explain it to each lecturer, most will just add your name to the attendance list until your registered

Hey everybody, been reading over this thread just now. I've a little problem with attendance. I've recently been accepted back into GMIT as a mature student but my problem is this. Due to the grant taking so long to even get confirmation that i've been deemed eligible, I have been unable to attend classes in 3 weeks. The longer I leave it the harder I'm afraid itll be to return.
I was thinking of trying to defer until next year when I can be more financially prepared. Bt to be honest I really don't want to do this. I've been looking forward for a long time on returning to education... Could anyone share some insight or advice on what route I should take. Any help is much appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Danny.

    Danny,

I'd say either go to your course co-ordinator or head of department and explain the situation. We had a late registration last year because of placement and couldn't get our 'G' number password or registration sorted. The head of department sorted it out for us. Worth a try anyhow!!!
