And importantly, if you do use predictive text, do you look down on those who don't/can't as lesser beings, incapable of dressing themselves, etc.

If you don't/can't use predictive text, do you feel society judges you for it? Friends laughing behind your back? Talking, voices, judging, as some people do.

Yes, and I don't care how other people text me. So long as they use vowels I'm happy.

What if they use only vowels?

I do but I don't look down on others.

I use it on my iPod on boards. That's why the majority of my posts are with perfect grammar, capitilisation and spelling.

Can't stand it, don't need it, type faster without it

(I think I missed the joke here, what's wrong with not using it?)

I don't use it. Even when i want to write a text with proper english. I prefer to thumb the letters in myself.

No real joke, I got laughed at by a couple of so called 'friends' when they realised I don't use it, as if I am some sort of relic.

    Meh.

I type faster without it...but I tend to have phases where i will do it for a few months...

I use it but on SE phones certain words I use a lot (common enough words) aren't first on the list and it inserts something that makes no sense in the context. If you could choose or modify that list instead of it being a default it'd be perfect.
I was quite happy using normal texting up until it came along though and I still abbreviate certain words to txt spk for handiness sake or to save space.

I don't, I can but prefer not too as I find it faster to "thumb" it.

However my brother uses it and I have many a time recieved texts where he has decided not to change the letters to the correct word and it can be quite comical....

I never use it, find normal texting much easier.

Although I just tried it there and for some reason, under the language settings of predictive text, it was set to French.

So when I tried typing "I really hate predictive text. It never gives me the words I want.", it became:

"I REALLY hâte prédictive text. Iv ouefs hiver ne vie wordr i yaou"

I use predictive text and have this phone 2 years.

When I put a new word the phone does not know it gets saved. When I get a new phone its a pain in the hole because I have to teach the phone all over again the difficult words Nokia does not seem to know.:D

My GF cannot use it and It drives me mad. Stops her using my phone though because she cannot turn it off.

I knew some people would insecure enough to bring up the fact that they have a girlfriend. In fact I even said it to my girlfriend as soon as I saw square_igloo's post. You can ask my girlfriend if you don't believe me.

Well some of them were fairly obvious. COUGH *javaboy* COUGH.

Surprised about dr.bollocko though! Didn't think he was ever one to "take it up the lavender passageway" ,as Stephen Fry would put it.

**** I didn't expect anyone to call me out on this. It's um... 087.... hang on... I know this. There's a 6 in there somewhere. Eh. Um. I don't actually have the number handy. And she's gone home now. And she's no home phone so there's no way to confirm my story.

    Hey look over there. Suckers.
