Quick question; How long does Red Raisin stay open?

Because I was there until about 9pm a couple of weeks ago, and it was fairly empty by then.

Everything was closed and all, but how long until they start kicking people out?

The cleaners kick people out round 10:30, but you can head back in when they're done. It doesn't close.

it would be nice to have a 24 hour swipe card acess room for undergraduates for studying tho so we did'nt have to use the red rasion

The computers in the Lib! They are 1000% shocking! Takes forever to upload and everytime I tried to print out my assignment they froze, I went to 6 different computers too! Grrr! And I had just topped up my print account too, the ones in the Venus labs then were taken for an exam....it was sooo annoying having to go all over campus to try get stuff printed! >:(

It is that god damned searchindexer.exe that is scanning the PC whenever they wake up from a sustained period off. Takes up all the processing power of the pc's and there is no way to shut the thing off. Its absolutly infuriating having the sit there and wait when it can easily be done after 11pm when the place closes.

Can anyone tell me why they're on a 'clamp-fest' behind the Schuman??? The car park there is very badly signposted and suggests that the top level when you come in is the staff car park (it's the next one down)
Security were clamping cars all day there on Tues/Wed and some students were sitting in exams watching their cars being clamped even though they weren't causing any obstruction (just in the wrong car park)
It's bang out of order esp during exam weeks.
On a totally different topic........did you know that clamping in central Paris was effectively stopped [allegedly]when everyone took to carrying tubes of super-glue and when they saw a clamped car they just put super glue in the lock regardless of whether it was their car or not?? The clampers eventually got tired of having to cut the clamps off every car and running at a loss..........................:)

That car park is for staff only. The whole thing. I can't see how there is any ambiguity about it to be honest.

My official bitch - having to photocopy 3000 pages by Monday, and Snap Printing is closed at the weekend. I have literally got a suitcase. I'm freaking out.

This is probably already shown somewhere on boards but, does anyone know is there anywhere on campus that offers cheaper photocopying, or even better, anywhere that gives postgrads free photocopying? I know I'm a postgrad for a full year now and should really know this stuff but I'm not very good at this study stuff, and I got by fine so far...until now.

SU has the cheapest on campus afaik [Ninty can confirm this].

And there is a copier on some secret chamber past the fat lady and down the ivory chute in the library that does double sided for the price on single sided according to bluedolphin. Or at least there was.

Yup the SU is the cheapest, and if ya head there in the evening you'll have the whole room to yourself and be able to get it all done in peace and quiet!

SPAR on campus is quite the rip-off

Went in there this morning. I purchased 2 cans of 7UP which were on offer for €1, and also got 2L of milk. How much could one be charged you might think!?

Well I was charged €3.65 for those items.
I was flabbergasted, and said are you sure you got that right?
I said its 2 cans for a €1, and then how then you are charging €2.65 for 2L of milk, I said you are having a laugh!

Only to be told, that Golden Vale milk is that expensive, and that the SPAR milk is €1.60..I said then give me the SPAR milk, cos I'm not paying that price for milk.

I mean ffs, only cos I was on-campus this morning meant I decided to purchase in the shop in the 1st place. If I'd taken another 10 mins of my morning and walked to the SPAR beside the Carlton hotel, then I could have bought milk for €1.45, meaning I could have had 4L of milk for €2.90, while SPAR on campus charged me €2.65 for 2L.

I shall NOT be purchasing food in the SPAR on-campus again, unless I am in desperate need of something.

Its a rip-off! Consider that the other one is so close, especially living in College Court!
