well lads, the preseason is over and so is the night out, its time to get down to basics. its our first league game and one that we simply have to win. i have no idea who these lads are, but who cares, we need to just go out and beat them.

we need 3 points to start of the season, end of. no excuses!

so, whos in? i wont post the squad as i dont know who is in for sure, ill leave that up to Des. we should also, have the Kit for this and from now on. i know a few lads are away, so im expecting about 16/17 for this which is decent. we should also have martin and dave returning to the squad after long lay offs.

Its the best hockey pitch in the league I would say, it's sand based.

looks like a decent squad. Des should be texting the players today anyway, im handing over organisatioanl duties to him now again. i will help out any week he is working nights. im not sure who has/hadnt paid and who is/is not in the squad. so des/mickie, please edit this list to final squad.

St. Judes - From Town Proceed towards Harolds Cross and on towards Templeogue village.
After crossing Templeogue Bridge, take the right turn for Tallaght.
You will come to a round about at the Spawell Centre, last roundanout as you head towards the M50.
Take the third exit, right turn, proceed for approx half a mile to St.
Judes on the left hand side.
There are two GAA clubs on the road, the other is Faughs, make sure you enter St.
Judes.

19 players at least tomorrow. How many did we have first game last season Des? Just curious to see if we manage to keep attendances at a better level than last year

If the match is at ten, ill be at leixlip village at twenty past. Unless you live in the far outter reaches of leixlip. If so, Lidl i suppose at the same time

we had about 17 and there was 2 or 3 including me and art there that were injured. last years problems were unavoidable, i got injured for 4 months and was away, dave and larry went travelling, dan got a serious injury, you and simon had exams, art sprained his ankle and so on and so on. there were very few people missing last season through lazyness and no interest.

with the winter, lack of other things to do, i dont think it will be a problem. i expect 16/17 for each game.
