to which you said 'Its called the "World Bank".'

Do you know what the World Bank does, or are you focusing primarily on its name? Your answer suggests the latter, that you think it is some normal kind of commercial bank, but absolutely huge. A superbank, if you will.

    It's nothing of the sort.

Run_to_the_hills, you mean a world 'AIB' or 'Bank of Ireland' style bank yes?
With individual accounts for people in all different countries, one currency across the world, etc. rather than the internationally supported World Bank that already exists?

We will have one Global bank with one global currency based solely on the EFT with cash as we know it phased out. The Government of each country will be required to issue the chipped national ID card that will be your cash card to conform with this imposed currency. To avoid “cloning” and fraud all new smart card machines will be able read biometrics of thumb prints and possibly retna scans.

Cash as in paper notes will be phased out. One will be able to exchange credit and financial transactions with personal USB touch pads, mobile phones, ATM machines and on line. It will be a very strict system and anyone found “out of line” could find their privileges restricted and could easily be cut out of society not being able to "buy or sell" or travel.

All your day to day spending is monitored, electronic green tax could be imposed with possible rationing, IE you can only purchase what your state smart card will allow you to within a given time. THe same smart card could ration cigarettes and Alcohol and automatically restrict its sale to minors.

Drug dealing, smuggling, hyjacking, terrorism and all crime will now almost cease and the world will become an extremely peaceful place and the Global Governing body of this financial cashless organisation will take full credit for this system.

All this will be at the expense of your freedom. Every single purchase transaction you make through the EFT will pinpoint you on planet earth and will reveal your spending habits and your lifestyle.

Welcome to the New World Order.

For years, we've been told that drug-dealing, the black market, organised crime and terrorism were all effectively state-controlled and state-sponsored, and that behind the State was some shadowy NWO organisation.

Now, it turns out that their plan is to do away with all of this stuff that they themselves control.

    Fantastic. I can't wait.

Because that's so impossible today, what with most people using credit/debit cards, stores having CCTV, and all the rest of it.

Seriously....the few transactions that people use cash for...they're not interesting.

Also...there's no need for a single global currency. Why bother, when there's money to be made on ForEx transaction charges?

Why didn't the European cronies think of that in 2002 when they wiped out over a dozen foreign currencies from the Common Market when they introduced the Euro.

More would be made on charging a commission for every single "smart card" transaction that they would make on any foreigh exchange.

Lads We're slippin here a bit,

    http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=aatlky_cH.tY&refer=worldwide

Transparency eh? so they get a fistfull of public Debtmoney to fix the problems they caused, but it would b detrimental to the economy to ask them what they are doin with it.

lets see what themarveous G20 emergency summit comesup with, are peopple sofickle that they have forgotten about this already

Maybe its because it wasn't intended to be a money-making effort?

Fits fine with my understanding of how the world works....doesn't fit so good with the notion of the whole banking/government its-all-about-the-money theories.
More would be made on charging a commission for every single "smart card" transaction that they would make on any foreigh exchange.

But they could have had both....which would obviously have mode more again.

Something thats been buggin me for a while,

Why did the Australian Dollar lose 30% of its value against the $US, when all logic would have pointed to our Dollar increasing in value, we are one of the few countries not to cary a National Debt, in fact there was a surpluss at the time, strikes me as being very Lizzzardy

Why did the Australian Dollar lose 30% of its value against the $US,

    When was this?

If you're referring to recently, then you should bear in mind that you'd be starting from around when the dollar was pretty-much at an all-time low against every major international currency and most people were insisting that it was grossly undervalued.

See I was under the impression that the Dollar was being hugely inflated by the borrowings to finance the War and the collapse of the Sub Prime markets didnt help that either, from reading the papers a few months ago it seemed that the Chinese basicly owned huge chunks of Dollar reserves, we were sellin them stuff and the Yanks were buyin it, so it struck me as a little odd that the US$ increased in value and the AU$ decreased, seemed a bit Lizzzzzardy
