more than likely ill miss this. im gutted to be honest, really enjoyed this one last year, it was a cracker,we lost 3-2, there must have been over 50 people watching it and it went down to the wire.

theres a cup for this by the way :)

i know last year we got invited to the pub for some sandwiches and stuff but didnt go. it maybe good to go this year and of course then watch the match there. i would be able to join ye for that i think.

It couldn't clash any more with our game @ 2pm!

I will say that having played in this game last year it is a very worthwhile occasion and a good healthy competitive fixture. Seeing Des get some game time is always good for a larf too :pac::pac:

I presume this will be 90 minutes? and are there roll on roll off subs or are we limited to just 3? as if we are this will be a big test of fitness for everyone!

oh and sliding tackles are back in :D:D:D:D

Here's the latest on the pitch

The part of the ground thats not the pitch is pretty swamped as usual. When
I got to the pitch, I found the following.

The near end of the pitch:

The goalmouth has a huge puddle (which could be swept out if needs be). There are 3 small/medium areas in that half of the pitch where there is surface water. The sun had just come out. I am in the opinion if there is much more heavy downfall, the water will not clear. If the sun stays out and the evening stays relatively dry, that half of the pitch will be playable by tomorrow.

The far end of the pitch:

There is a small puddle at the far goalmouth. With the exception of that, that half of the pitch is in perfect nick. I jogged around that and none of that half has held the water at all.

    Summary:

The pitch isn't half as bad as i expected when I left the house. PRoviding conditions dont deteriorate this evening, the pitch will be playable tomorrow, albeit with the aid of a sweeping brush to cear the goalmouth areas. I propose a further pitch inspection at 10:00 local time tomorrow morning.

    As an alternative,

I have asked someone on the team to make contact with the AFL to see is their bigpitch available tomorrow for even 30 mins a half. he is due to report back after 3pm with his findings.

    Yuors faithfully,

    Shane

Ok cool, got it on google maps which is all I need :)
I'll probably be busing it into town then out again, but I may be able to swing a lift all around the m50 if I'm lucky.
