Anyone else brave enough to watch all the pretty people and their exploits?!

Isn't this just another teen drama in that vastly overpopulated category already? Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill etc.

I don't get it - is it a spin-off series? Bevery Hills 90210: The Next Generation?

Spot on.. but with Lucille Bluth! :pac:

It has some of the previous cast too - think Jennie Garth and Shannon Doherty are regulars.

What's the bets Basquille will watch it and claim the gf made him look at it, just as he does with "Grey's Anatomy"? :D

I think I will give this one a miss.

    Oi oi... simmer down..! :D

I secretly enjoyed 'Greys Anatomy' at the start (when the writing was fairly fresh and witty) but now it's just desperate!

Yeah, I'll let you away with that. I stopped watching shortly after Meredith "died" and I realised that a little piece of me was dying each week that I kept watching.

That is indeed Tristan Wilds and his casting alone will ensure that I at least watch the pilot episode even if it does look like complete trash.

I like the look of that Jessica Lowndes bird.

... and there's Jessica Stroup on the right of the OP's pic.

... aaaaaaand it's got the bird who played Eden Lord in Nip/Tuck. I'm definately watching this!

Ha.. this is the third TV related forum today where there's been a discussion on 90210.. and it has "Hey, it's Michael from The Wire" either in the original post or subtitle of the thread! :D

The marketing department should have just had "Michael from The Wire" in the cast list.

How long before Tori Spelling appears? :pac:

Nice to see Tristan Wilds doing something completely different to the Wire. A chance for him to show versatility. I'll tune into the pilot just for him. He's in the middle of the pic so hopefully he's got a main role.
    Eden from Nip/Tuck = mmmm

At 4:30am or something equally crazy, no doubt.

Good ol' RTE, bringing the masses what they crave!

probably not a bad move from RTE for once. If you look at the ratings on RTE,Home and Away is one of the biggest rated shows every day,you stick an episode of 90210,which is pretty much just a glossed up copy of a soap like Home and Away, then you could get a sizeable chunk of that audience.

The first one was awful but it had its fan base so as long as their original fanbase is still around id say theyd get a good viewing. But its gonna be utter trash.....great mind numbing telly

Ive watched the first 10 episodes from America.. Its ok Jennie and shannen are in it only on and off... Oh think of it as the oc meets beverley hills.

Jennie Garth looks like she's had a few little nip/tuck jobs on her face. Pity no one told her she's wearing the wrong size bra

I've been watching this, but to be honest it doesn't hold a candle to the original or to the likes of Dawson's Creek or One Tree Hill. I mean, even the OC was better.

I wasn't sure that I saw that. Pretty saucy for 7pm viewing. Someone get the daily mail on the case! We can have ourselves an old fashioned media hanging

I dont know how anyone watches this corny rubbish - spolied american brats and their 'issues'. Thank God the television has an off switch.

Come Back The OC, All Is Forgiven!

When they played Coldplay's Viva La Vida and MGMT's Time to Pretend within 3 minutes of the show's start, I wasn't expecting much.

The blowjob scene was unrealistic tbh. New girl gets out of the car and sees previous boyfriend (who is now dating the hottest girl in school) getting oral sex off some random girl in his car, in the middle of hundreds of high school students! Right.

The OC and One Tree Hill are far, far superior to this drivel.

    Why Tristan Wilds why?! :(

I was surprised that after RTÉ picked this up, they aired it quite promptly, and also at a realistic hour, I was expecting it to receive the same shambolic treatment they gave Veronica Mars. However, like Veronica Mars, I'm not sure anyone watched it before deciding what hour to put it out at. Though a teen show, there's scenes and topics that a little risque for 7pm. I'd suggest 8pm, though I guess anythings better than the midday time they gave the aforementioned show full of murder, rape, etc.

Disclaimer: I'm making no quality comparisons between these two shows, VM is 100 times better!

    They're both ****e tbh.

And the blow job scene was just like the sex scenes/frontal nudity in 'Raw'. They were included purely for attention and to create minor controversy.

90210 have an oral sex scene at the start of the show yet the strongest vulgar word they muster up is 'ass' OMG you're such an ass e.g. Purely a stunt. And they can just claim it wasn't oral sex if they get in trouble. She was tying his shoe laces, duh!

The Peach Pit, CA - Jim Walsh is back. Following the leads of former costars Jenny Garth and Shannen Doherty, James Eckhouse will be reprising his role on the updated 90210.
His appearance will differ from the others in that he agreed to only appear during the opening credits; for his patented “turn and smile.”
“I can’t wait to do it,” Eckhouse told us. “Not just the turn and smile, but the casual shrug I give afterward. That last part is the key.”
Eckhouse’s intro and shrug became famous as the show’s popularity grew. His nonchalance seemed to set the tone for not only his character, but the show itself.
“It said ‘I’m Jim Walsh and while I may seem laid back, I mean business’,” Garth explained. “The show seemed so relaxed and fun, but really tackled some major issues. The Eck’s turn and smile made that happen.”
Garth was a major proponent of bringing James back, feeling that it would inject the proper mentality into the young show.
CW President of Entertainment, Dawn Ostroff, actually offered James a four episode arc.
“He told me all he needed was three seconds,” Ostroff recalled. “He only used two. The guy’s a pro.”

I'd like to see Brandon and Dylan back

I think its great, seen the double episode and the third one, much better than The OC, maybe even better than the original.
