Yeah, Paul has the Madbull timing system. Its not used that often afaik but I helped run it at the Birthday Shoot, there was a prize for the winner.

AFAIK there is no proper course anywhere in the country.

    sound.
im presuming that it was run with just standard pistols, not specialised STIs, optics ect..
did many lads give it a go?

By course I meant I didnt meant like a training course. For practical pistol course is a better word than range as it often involves loads of running, nto standing in line.

yeah thats the context i was using it in initially, i just wanted to clarify for whydave.

would there be any one interested in participating in a league or someway frequent competition?

I think an annual competition would interest me. Get an indoor area for a day and set up multiple courses with a winner of each event and an overall winner or something like that. I wouldnt be into getting those APS pistols and putting scopes on them ect ect.

    no im talking about airsoft.
you may not see the point but others may, there is more to airsoft than just skirmishing.:pac:
personally i cant stand AEGs and the patetic little whine out of a gear box but they do have their uses, until i get my WA M4 anyways.

i know that it is not full bore per se, as per ISPC rules but it is a discipline none the less.
it is really well suited to smaller indoor and/or outdoor ranges and is far more challenging due to recoil.

the link was to a real steel shooting course, it had nothing to do with airsoft (when i say airsoft i mean devices that are legal under the 1joule law, be that aeg or gbb, weather you want to skirmish collect or target shot)

i also mean devices that are legal under the 1joule law when i refer to airsoft, i made no suggestion otherwise nor did i make any reference to real steel, as there is a seperate forum for that.
not being a c*nt here but your response is somewhat ambigious.

    So its like target shooting?
If it is then i dont see how someone could spend a day shooting targets when you can easily shoot actual ppl, which is more challenging.

P.S you asked if there were any ranges, this also gave me the impression that you meant RS..

Hes obviously talking bout AIRSOFT not RS! He is a reg poster here noobs! :D

Im building a cutom pistol specifically for practical shooting. Should be finished in a week or so have pics up then!!! Much more interesting than an aliens rifle!!! Cos im not a freak ha ha :D

we know he is talking about airsoft, the issue came from a post during the thread linked to RS courses, this has since been removed, going around calling people 'noobs' is not needed

I'd be up for something like that. Somewhere other than my shed to fire my gbb's. It would be nice to have individual skill recognised and to facilitate those not into team regimes or skirmishing. Also from looking at several vids, it seems to appeal right across the age range.

you removed the post, no one did anything wrong, just people seemed to have got a bit lost after a few posts:rolleyes:

A link was posted to a real steel site.

    It was removed.

I don't see any need for further discussion on it.

    Back on topic.

Cant say im big on the skirmishing side of airsoft, pratical target shooting on the other hand is more my thing. Actually had a conversation with a mate the other day about contacting a local gunclub that mite be interested in hosting some kind of competion(airsoft not real steel pistols).
