    Click 'Share' above the photo.

    Click 'Grab the HTML/BBCode'.

    Choose 'BBCode'.

Then just copy and paste that straight in here. Make sure your photo are set to public.

    Where's Wally Marsh Harrier?

    7D1193352177418C8E8C4710412FE598-0000315944-0002540404-00800L-CC67F91F6C10421BAE32F13947CC13EA.jpg

Hen Harrier, Marsh Harrier, Buzzard and Kestrel all in the one area today. Unfortunately each seemed to drive the other away and didn't see them again much for the rest of the day.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,878 ✭✭✭whyulittle

    Buzzard?

It looks like a Rook in some of the silhouette shots, but here it looks very light for a Rook, but much darker than the Buzzards around.

What gives Buzzards their variety in colour? I've never read that it's just age or sexes.

is that underside or top side we are looking at?

its deceptive alright, could it be a Raven?

looks way to "black" for a Buzzard.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,878 ✭✭✭whyulittle

    Underside I think.

These were taken when I had pretty much all the birds in the area, so wasn't sure what I was shooting at.

Trebor, I think foxes mark their food. I wonder if it caught a sick ?sparrowhawk or did a pigeon shooter shoot it and then the fox ate it

Whyu, looks like a pale Raven.

But wouldn't a fox just have eaten the bones?
Looks like another bop at least ate it couldn't say whether it was killed by said bop.

When you say pale raven do you mean hooded crow?

Thanks a mill.. The best time to visit Bull Island, IMHO, is when the tide is out, lots of waders and stuff... enjoy..

Check the tides in the papers or on the internet. It was coming in when I was there (having my lunch in the car) at about 1pm today..
