Considering the posts about Cairn Hill it may just be spillover from there that I'm getting.

    Fkearney, what are the frequencies?.
DVB Viewer has a channel scan but I am unsure of my results.
On frequencies in the 600 range I seem to get strength 62 %, quality 0%.
    Am I totally off?.

For the first time, my Wand TV USB stick said signal found, starting to access channel info with 49% strength and 6% quality but then moved on and didnt find anything. This was on 634mhz.

    Also something on 658.

Signals are very low this evening. Ch41 (634Mhz) showing 2% signal quality. Not sure if changing polarity of my aerial would bring it high enough to achieve lock but its unlikely.

I just lost the EPG for Spur Hill CH45. Everything up to last night was fine. Did anyone else lose the guide?
    Thanks.

Can anyone recomend a good DVB-T USB Dongle for my PC, or if there is a better option (seperate PC Card and aerial?)
Spur Hill is the nearest transmitter to me.

Are you also receiving audio? If so it would indicate your receiving equipment is not compatible with the Irish DTT video standard - MPEG-4. The unit may be MPEG-2 only (UK standard) and a software upgrade will not help.

Has the unit ever displayed DTT pictures? If so your local transmitter may be down temporarily.

What is the make and model of the unit?

Cheers for the reply lad. No it never recieved picture or sound. Dont know the make or model. I bought it from chinavasion.com have heard about dvbt cards but theres nowhere to put a card on the unit itself. I also bought a dvbt scart reciever off the same website which i cant get to work either.

If MPEG-2 refers to DVB-T video compression you should be receiving audio, the unit could be faulty. In any case it will not be possible to upgrade the unit to MPEG-4.
